Gendome put the Home 3000 through 28 different safety and performance tests, but to ensure long-term safety and reliability, they also gave it two built-in monitoring systems and eight different power protections. The two systems are a built-in battery management system and GenOS, a real-time monitoring and analysis system. The eight protections include:

  • Overvoltage
  • Undervoltage
  • Overcurrent
  • Over discharge
  • Overload
  • High temperature
  • Cryogenic
  • Short circuit

You can operate and manage the Home 3000 easily and conveniently while at home or away. It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and features support for both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Integrate it within your smart-home ecosystem to speak voice commands, or use the Gendome app to adjust charging speeds, schedule recharges, monitor in real time, view usage history, and more.

Out of the box, the Home 3000 can be charged via an AC power connection. Connecting to an 1800W US outlet will give it a full charge in approximately 2 hours, thanks to Genhome's Fast-Gen charging technology. The Home 3000 also includes cabling for use with optional devices for recharging via solar or wind power.

With the Home 3000 plugged in, you can use it like a UPS, powering your devices and protecting them during a power outage. When the power goes down, the Home 3000 is designed to switch over to its internal battery power in as little as 12ms, making it feel like the power never went down.

Using an LFP (LiFePO4) lithium iron phosphate battery, the Home 3000 supports up to 6500 power/charging cycles, ensuring years and years of reliable use. Please note that overall power capacity will drop over time, with approximately 80% capacity after roughly 2500 cycles, and approximately 60% capacity after roughly 6500 cycles.

  • Built-in LCD side panel for Home 3000 status or to check the weather
  • OTA firmware updates

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My understanding is that you are not supposed to daisy-chain surge suppressors. So is it really ok to plug my APC UPS (which has surge protection) into the PST-8? Isn't that plugging one surge protector into another, which everybody says not to do?

A: UPS should be plugged directly to a outlet.

Q: 2. I get the impression that this unit is inferior to the standard PST-8. Will plugging in analogue devices into the digital outlets produce worse results? Are the digital outlets weaker in some way to the analogue outlets?

A: No, it will not produce worst results. Both the digital and analog labeled outlets would support either type of device.

Q: 3. Does it matter if I use the digital outlets with analog equipment or vice versa? Are they all the same in power conditioning or is there a difference??

A: You can plug them into either but that defeats the purpose of using something like the Furman PST-8. For the best results, we recommend using Digital equipment with the digital outlets and analog equipment with the analog outlets.

Q: 4. What is the plug length for the power station?

A: Omnicharge has not provided details on the length of the power cable included with the Omnicharge Power Station 10X.

Q: 5. Will this work with the 600d pro?

A: Yes, the Aputure 2-Bay Battery Power Station (V-Mount) is designed for the Aputure LS 600d Pro Daylight LED Monolight (V-Mount).

Q: 6. Will the SmallRig VB99 Mini V Mount batteries work on this?

A: SmallRig VB99 Mini V-Mount Battery (99Wh, Black) is not compatible with the Aputure 2-Bay Battery Power Station (V-Mount).

Q: 7. Does this PST-8 digital power station reduce dynnamic in hi-end audiophile equipment?

A: It should not, as long as the equipment does not exceed 1800W.

Q: 8. Is the power plug angled? I need something low profile and angled to fit behind a piece of furniture. The manufacturer's specs say it includes a "36 degree NEMA 15 plug". Does it stick out far from the wall?

A: Yes, the Furman PST-8 Power Station Home Theater Power Conditioner & Surge Protector - 8 Outlets, 2 Coax Pairs & Phone Line Protection has a low profile 90 degree plug.

Q: 9. Can I plug a ups unit into this 8 outlet Furman? i heard that you can only plug ups into a 2 outlet unit?

A: According to the UPS manufacturer APC, UPS should always be plugged into the wall directly.

Q: 10. Please give some examples of digitla equipment and examples of analog equipment. Is my mac desktop digital? My mac laptop when connected via its power supply, digital? My powered speakers?

A: Analog vs digital refers to the type of electromagnetic/electric current. An analog signal is a continuous signal whereas digital signals are time separated signals. The current out of an electrical outlet and to the power supply of connected equipment is an analog signal. With regards to your question, separate from power, the equipment will ether be digital or analog depending on how signals are processed. Most modern computers are digital in nature. Speakers are considered analog depending on the circuitry. Some equipment can have elements of both. A simple illustration: CDs/DVDs are digital; vinyl records, cassette tapes, video tapes are analog. In essence, if you are pushing buttons to make changes like raising volume, that's digital. In essence, if you are turning a knob to do the same thing, that would be analog.
