Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just noticed that my Sirui cabinet is red hot inside on the box. Is that normal? I’ve unplugged it for now while waiting for an answer from the company.

A: We have not heard of this issue. However, speaking directly with Sirui would be best since this may involve the 6 year warranty on the cabinet.

Q: 2. I lost my key. Can I buy another key?

A: Contact The Sirui Parts Department 973-415-8082 or 866-373-0829

Q: 3. What is internal dimension of the 110 model?

A: According to Sirui, the interior dimensions of the Sirui HC-110 Electronic Humidity Control Cabinet are 29.9 x 17.6 x 13.78 inches (76 x 44.7 x 35cm) HxWxL.

Q: 4. Can this cabinet, or some others of the Humidity Control Cabinets be vertically stacked? I can somewhat see that there are round feet installed on the bottom of the cabinet. If better suited for stacking, can the feet be removed to allow for easier stacking of the same model units, one on top of the other?

A: The top is smooth metal, wouldn't lend itself to stacking. there are units that B&H sells that are two level.

Q: 5. What does the unit do with the moisture that it removes from the air? Is there some sort of drip pan? I'll be using it in Florida, so there is a lot of humidity to be removed!

A: Anthony. I use mine (a smaller model - HC50) in Panama, of course a very high humidity area like S. Florida. It works perfectly. I don't know where the moisture goes, but there is no drip pan that I know of. I use it at maximum dehumidification, it gets relative humidity down to 25% in a few hours, and it stays there as long as you don't open the door too often. I have been using mine only since March, so cannot attest to durability yet. Bill.

Q: 6. How deep are the shelves? Can I store Canon telephoto lenses in them? 400mm 600mm?

A: The shelves are 17.6 x 13.78 inches so it would be just a little too small for the 600mm lens unless you want to store it vertically. This Ruggard would be a better fit for the 600mm lens stored horizontally: https://bhpho.to/3x1QKQ3

Q: 7. What material are the shelves made of? Is it all metal and foam - no plastic?

A: The shelves are steel and lined with foam.

Q: 8. Can you change the temperature reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

A: Sirui states that unfortunately, the HC cabinets can not change from celsius to fahrenheit.

Q: 9. What's the voltage range? Can it be used from 110-240?

A: Mine is plugged into a standard 110V wall outlet.

Q: 10. what is the input voltage?

A: The nominal voltage is AC 110V-240V 50/60Hz.
