It is not designed for direct usage with the Manfrotto 034 Single Extension for Autopole (Silver, 4.9').

A: The diameter of the 032B Single Autopole is 1.77 . The minimum height is 6.9' while the maximum height is 12.2'. If suspending a single cross bar from two of these Autopoles, each of them can support up to 44 lbs.

I was worried when I opened the box, as this base felt a little lightweight. once you attach it to a pole, though, the unit seems as strong as using the spring mount against a ceiling. I'll now keep it with me all the time for those occasions where the ceiling is too high or fragile for a regular pole mount. I am actually using this with a Matthews Matthpole, thanks to the B&H folks who assured me that it would work. Just pop out the bottom rubber foot and you're all set. 5

With a superclamp, the autopole is great for hanging and adjusting lights; whether the autopole is set up vertically or horizontally, it is strong enough to hold many lights at one. I use it to hold Arri 300's and Arri 650's (with softboxes). Compared to using a C-Stand or other light stands, I find the autopole to be a great space saver. 5

I had a catalog in a studio with 20 foot ceilings and needed to make numerous background changes. These supported my Autopole 2's extremely well and were quite sturdy with the backgrounds at about 14 feet. I highly recommend them to anyone using the Autopole system. 5

Cheaper than the high end studio mic stand! I use the Manfrotto Autopole in combination with the SE reflection filter and Superclamp to create my own Microphone stand. Easy to adjust with different talent. 5
