The versatile aluminum assembly starts with a baseplate featuring four protruding arms with 1/4"-20 threads for mounting accessories or mounting the plate onto another rig. The arms also feature rubber pads on the bottom to mount your rig on a flat surface. Also, the bottom of the baseplate features an integrated Arca-type mount for direct mounting onto an Arca-type head.

On the top of the baseplate is an Arca-type receiver with an Arca-type quick release plate for even more mounting options. The receiver can slide up and down the baseplate for balance and positioning using its measurement markings, and your camera can quickly mount and unmount using the plate with a 1/4"-20 screw. A: The SmallRig MD4150 Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for AirTag is a genric plate. It can fit almost any camera. It also has a channel where the screw attaches allowing you to position it forwards and backwards under the camera. That makes it compatible with a wide array of cameras. It just requires the camera to have a 1/4" screw opening in the bottom. The X2D does have a 1/4" screw opening.
