Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work for a tablet that's in a protective case that measures 2.0 x 24.5 x 18.0 centimeters?

A: The Niceyrig Tablet Clamp for Tripods BH #NI502 supports tablets that are up to 1.3cm thick. 2cm would not work.

Q: 2. Can the LAN cable be used to output an image to a pc interface for streaming? If so, can 120 fps be achieved that way?

A: Yes, according to Z Cam this is possible.

Q: 3. What is the file type, resolution, bit-depth, color sampling (4:2:2?) and bitrate of the proxy file?

A: The proxy files are ProRes 422 Proxies. The resolution, bit-depth, bitrate, and color sampling depend on what other settings you have selected.

Q: 4. How clean is the 1080@240fps?

A: The footage shot on this camera will be very clean, when shot under the proper lighting conditions. It will give you great results for 1080p at 240fps.

Q: 5. How do you control the audio record levels when recording audio internally from an external mic or wireless kit?

A: This camera allows you to manual adjust the audio.

Q: 6. What is the minimum jaw opening?

A: That information is not provided/published by the manufacturer.

Q: 7. Does this camera have any on board mics for scratch audio, or must you have a mic plugged in to record any audio at all?

A: It had an on-board mic for scratch audio.

Q: 8. I have a question about the software. Can you program it to record for a specific amount of time, and then auto download the file over ethernet to the PC? Looking to record specific 2-3 second clips with a fast transfer back (1080p 240fps)

A: Timelapse: Off / Manual, when it’s Off, the camera is in normal record mode. When it is set to a specific value 00:0s, the camera is in time lapse video mode. Timelapse Video Recording To active "Timelapse" function, it can record time-lapse video to the memory card, specific steps are as follows: 1) Set Video - Variable Framerate to "off", otherwise it’s not able to set up timelapse parameters. 2) In Video – Timelapse setting, set the timelapse interval value (the interval is the time between each frame shot) through the FN key (skip to the next setting item), and UP/ Down button. The minimum unit of interval time is milliseconds (0.1s), and the range can be set as 0.2s ~ 60s After the timelapse interval is confirmed , the value will be displayed in the menu "Timelapse", and the camera icon will be displayed in timelpase recording mode on the standby. Set other video parameters, except the "Variable Framerate" can not be opened, the rest is the same as normal recording video. 5) Press "record" button and the camera will start recording. The recording time shown on the screen is the time-length of the video file that was recorded in the camera, but not the time used for recording. The formula to calculate the time required for recording and the time-length of the video file is: Recording time = timelapse interval x frame rate x time-length of video file For example, if the timelapse interval is set to 0.5s and the frame rate is 25fps, then as to record 1 minute of timelapse video, the time required for recording will be 0.5 x 25 x 1 = 12.5 minutes.

Q: 9. What lens mount does this camera use?

A: MFT lens mount. But with lens adapter you may use EF, PL or M mount lenses.

Q: 10. What are the native ISO's of this camera?

A: The Z Cam E2 has Dual Native ISOs: 250 and 1250.
