This UltraLITE Pro16 Long-Range Dual-Channel Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System from Eartec includes two UltraLITE Pro16 Headsets (one single-ear master and one dual-ear remote), two rechargeable LiPo batteries, one two-port charger, and a small soft-side case. It is designed to accommodate two people who need to communicate wirelessly while simultaneously working with their hands. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Q: 3. Do you mean with "Eartec UL5S 5-Person" they can be pair to use at the same time right?

A: No the Eartec UL5S 5-Person will not pair with each other. They will function as 2 separate systems.

Q: 4. Are communications contained in the earpieces (no bleed in a quiet church environment)?

A: The sound would be contained in the earpiece. The Eartec UltraLITE systems are made specifically for situations where the communication must be silent in the room, such as film and video shoots, or theater productions.

Q: 5. Can you add more headsets to the system - so 10 people can all communicate at once?

A: With one hub alone, you can connect up to 8 remote wireless headsets, plus one headset wired to the hub for the 9th user. You would not be able to have 10 users communicate with a single hub, but it is possible to expand further. Using the interlink cable # EAHB35IL , you can link two hubs together for a total of up to 16 users to talk and listen on the system.

Q: 6. Can you hear your own voice (sidetone) coming through the headset?

Q: 10. how can you turn off the 2 remote can you stop the remote headsets from blinking blue after turning off the main?

A: The flashing blue LED light on the earcup indicates that the Eartec UltraLITE Remote Headset is in pairing mode, searching for the Eartec UltraLITE Master Headset (or the Eartec HUB Transceiver Base, if using a system with the HUB instead of the Master Headset) to pair with. After turning off power to the Master Headset, press and hold the power button on the Remote Headsets for 4 to 5 seconds to turn them off.

My husband is an avid runner and I’ve always been nervous about him getting hit, or not being able to hear traffic. These headphones are absolutely amazing! Sound is fantastic, but you’re also about to hear the ever changing environment around you. He says they a extremely comfortable and the perfect size!
I may just have to get my own pair!

Overcoming hearing loss is my biggest problem. Even hearing aids don't provide the sound quality for telephone, TV, computer that Open runs do. Fit is important, though, and if your head is smaller, be sure to get the mini rather than regular (I have both) because it affects the angle the sensor rests on your bone.

I'm a long distance cyclist and I've been a backbeat fit user for years (3-4 pairs), but I've been disappointed lately with reduced battery life and the addition of a touch volume control that's difficult to operate w/ gloves or balaclava. I was recommended shokz, and I'm very happy with the battery life and physical button controls. I'm yet to see a downside w/ bone conduction - it avoids sore ear hole syndrome, and I assume it'll avoid the gunk that builds up from having ear pieces inserted in sweaty ears for hours. I mostly listen to podcasts, and the sound quality is just as good, if not better.

I love my OpenRun so much I thought my husband would like one also, so I bought him one! He loves it! I highly recommend! Perfect for being able to hear music and also your surroundings so you feel safe on walks, hiking, and running.

My situation is a bit unique as I've had cauliflower ear for about a decade, so regular buds are incredibly uncomfortable and cups can be isolating and heavy after long use. Bone conduction headphones have been a game changer. I own a pair of openrun and a pair of the pros and use both regularly. The main advantage of the pros is that they sound slightly better, have a slightly improved design, and can connect to two devices at once (helpful when connected to my phone and computer). That said, the regular openruns are my day-to-day go-tos, as they're a bit lighter and more waterproof than the pros. Either way, they're (to me) well worth the price. Do understand that the sound quality of music will not be as crisp as a set of buds or cups unless you wear earplugs, but the default is more than good enough for normal use.

I am a huge fan of Shokz. My first pair was the Titanium Aftershokz. Even in the 'mini' size, they were a little big and heavy around my ears. The functionality was still great and I loved using them, just couldn't keep them on for long periods. They did start to fail after about a year and a half, but Shokz honored their warranty. Finally deciding to upgrade to the 'mini' OpenRun was the best decision ever. I have often worn them all day and even forgotten they were on until a phone call came in. The main thing that brought my attention to Shokz was the multipoint pairing. I have to keep two phones on me, work and personal. My OpenRun (and Titanium) paired perfectly with both phones. I can leave my phones in my office, walk SEVERAL offices away and never lose connectivity with either phone. I also spend a fair amount of time driving.
Being able to juggle phones calls from both phones with just a tap of a button on the Shokz is amazing! I don't use them much for music so if you're a huge music buff that is obsessed with music sound quality, I can't help you much there with my opinion. But for casual, occasional listening they work perfectly fine for me. I have yet to run the battery dead. Like I said, I don't stream music through them all day either though. Maybe an hour of music or other audio during the day and occasional phones calls. I've thrown the charger on them for about an hour once every few days just to bump them back up some. I think the lowest the battery has gotten (according to the welcome voice) is medium. To sum all of that up, Shokz OpenRun are absolutely amazing and I couldn't be happier. They truly make it easier to get through the day.

I already had two pairs of the regular-sized Aftershokz and think they're great. I tried the mini and love them. They fit much better with my smaller head, ( I do hope they decide to get more color options in the mini-style). I highly recommend people to own a pair.

I have owned my Aftershokz Aeropex, which are now called "Shokz Openrun" for 2 years and they are simply the best! I don't have to worry about losing them because I can lower them to my neck (if I just want them off when my storage bag isn't near), I was able to quickly answer calls from my dad's hospice nurse while in the middle of caring for him (due to the answer button that can easily be accessed with a bend of your wrist), my calls & music are clear during insanely intense workouts, and it doesn't slip while running! They are so lightweight that I oftentimes forget that I have them on my head! And, the magnetic charging unit makes them easy to charge! I can even wash my car or play outside with the kids while wearing my Shokz Openrun. So, when you love something, you recommend it! Since I've purchased my Shokz Openrun, my husband, mother & father -in-law, my brother, my sister, my best friend, and 3 sisters-in-law have all purchased their own Shokz Openeun! I am a lifetime customer, for sure! Thanks, Shokz!
