The 4018ES-T Supercardioid Table Kit Microphone from DPA is designed for capturing professional-grade audio. It can be used in applications such as broadcast, ENG, film, and long-distance miking environments. With a length of 3.5cm, the microphone is unobtrusive and suitable for interviews or table and spot-recordings. The microhpone features a supercardioid capsule and a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It is powered by 48V of phantom power.

The 4018ES-T kit features an MMP-E series active cable preamp which comes with a side mounted cable connected to the capsule. The microphone provides high separation without off-axis frequency peaks and dips, for an even sound on all sides. The rear lobe pattern is minimized for isolation, allowing for use as a spot or hanging microphone in orchestra recording situations. An SM4000-C suspension mount, table stand, and windscreen are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can work with rode wireless pro?

A: No, the DPA 4097 CORE Micro Shotgun Interview Kit is not compatible with the Rode Wireless Pro natively as the mic has a Microdot connector. You will need to use an adapter like B&H # TEMA01.

Q: 2. Is the spec. given here for the diaphragm an error? i.e., 0.05' / 16 mm. Surely 16mm = 0.5'

A: Here us the specification as published by DPA microphones: Capsule Diameter - 16mm (0.6 in).

Q: 3. How does it compares to 4017c or 4018c sound, sensitivity, and noise rejection wise?

A: This mic is very similar to that of the 4017 mic in terms of sound quality, mic sensitivity, dynamic range, and SPL. Excellent piece for outdoor, low profile booming.

Q: 4. Do the DPA 4099s come with a carrying case, and if so what does one look like?

A: The DPA Core 4099 do not come with a case.

Q: 5. what is the clip that the man in video used to hold the mic onto his cloth?

A: In the video, the DPA Microphones 4097 CORE Micro Shotgun Microphone is attached to a boompole at first, and then it looks like he had clipped the mic and mini boom to his clothing using a clip like the DPA Microphones CM4099 - Clamp Mount for 4099 Instrument Microphone (B&H # DPCM4099).

Q: 6. What adapter would be required to connect the DPA microphones to a Zoom F3?

A: To connect the DPA Microphones 4560 CORE Binaural Headset Microphone to the XLR inputs on the Zoom F3 Recorder you will need to implement two DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip (BH #DPDAD6001BC) (belt clip is removable): https://bhpho.to/35LfsvP

Q: 7. Is this shock mount appropriate for the Razer Seiren Emote mic?

A: No, the DPA Microphones Microphone Shock Mount UA0897 would not be an appropriate choice for this mic. I would suggest a universal shock mount such as the Rycote InVision Universal Microphone Shock Mount (BH #RYINVUSM).

Q: 8. Would this be resistant enough if you were recording rain sounds and its being hit by the rain?

A: Yes the DPA4560 is resistant to high levels of humidity and water, but for the best performance you should try to keep it dry if you can.

Q: 9. Can anyone comment on low frequency or bass sounds recording off piano? The solitary youtube comparison video makes this system sound anemic compared with Earthworks. Thnx

A: If you were comparing these to the Earthworks PM40 Piano system, you may be hearing more resonance in the PM40's lows due to its extended low frequency range. The PM40 can pickup as low as 9hz, where as the DPA's low's start at 80hz.

Q: 10. Is it possible to connect this via XLR? My interface uses the one C-port I have for outgoing sound + other inputs.

A: The Deity Microphones VO-7U Dynamic Supercardioid USB Streamer Microphone Kit with Desktop Tripod (Black) does not have an XLR connector.
