This has to be the strongest device I have used on a dslr camera. I was so strong that after I was finished using I could only remove the camera. It took 25 minutes to get the device off.

I bought this mount for filming outside a vehicle, but the Fat Gecko has proven itself great for mounting to any smooth surface to achieve many different perspectives. The mount's suction cups hold extremely well and although my current camera is a lightweight GH3, I have no doubt it can easily support up to 12 lbs. as it claims. I highly recommend this mount.

Well built and sturdy. Should be obvious that this only sticks to metal or glass. Worth keeping in mind that even things that seem non-porous - like a stone countertop or varnished wood - won't retain suction. We've used it as a car mount with a cheese plate attached and a folded DJI Mavic strapped to it for simple gimbal shots in cities (buildings, landmarks, etc.).

I use these for mounting GoPros to my car for taking videos. These are well worth the price and stay sturdy at freeway speeds! Just make sure to wipe down the surface, or it won't get good suction. These are much better mounts than the GoPro brand ones.

I've had other suction cup based mounts before, but the build and additional points of contact make this the best and most reliable by far. When you are relying on your best or only camera being attached to a moving vehicle with no additional support for a shot, there is a lot on the line. This product definitely eased my concerns and offered the ability to get smooth creative shots.

This thing isn't going anywhere and the articulation is really great. I can put a light on any window now.
