Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with Nikon Z7?

A: Yes, the following remote is compatible with your camera.

Q: 2. Hi,I have a sony A65, is this compatible, if not which one is please?

A: Yes, it is completely compatible, I have 2 A65s and that is the remote shutter I use with them.

Q: 3. I have a Canon T5i. Does this also control the video? Thanks.

A: I tried my Vello FreeWave on Canon 70D video mode and it would not turn video on, good luck. Tom C

Q: 4. How long do the battery's last?

A: A long time. I use alkaline batteries and I shoot a lot, maybe 50,000 shots per year with this remote. I know they last at least six months, maybe a year. They are AAA so they are cheap and readily available. That is one of the big pluses. I have used both Canon and Youngnuo and I like Vello much better.

Q: 5. is this aligned correctly to work with a pc nikkor?

A: You can use any Nikon lens with this adapter including PC Nikkor lenses.

Q: 6. Nikon D3500, WILL IT WORK perfectly?

A: It will not. The D3500 and D3400 do not have a remote shutter port.

Q: 7. does this remote work with a Canon R6?

A: Yes

Q: 8. What if I want to use a hot shoe flash AND this remote shutter release on my D4S?

A: Mine (for a d7100) plugs into the camera via a cord and only sits on the hot shoe for convienance. I often just drape it over the tripod handle and it dangles from the cord. It works great as a remote (with batteries) and also as a cable release (even without battries installed).

Q: 9. I bought this for my Canon 5D Mark lll. I can only get it to trigger when it is wired. Wireless will not work no matter what channels I change to, what batteries I switch to. Sometimes the green light will light up on the receiver as if it is receiving the signal but then the shutter never fires (whether I do the 1/2 depression or not). Anyone have any suggestions?

A: It's only wireless between the transmitter and the receiver. You must connect the receiver to the camera using the supplied cord. This is not a dedicated remote. There are no electrical contacts on the base of the receiver. This is a universal remote trigger. It will work with other brand cameras just by purchasing the proper cord. This works with my Canon, Olympus, and Panasonic cameras, but I have a cord for each.

Q: 10. Does this adapter work with Nikon non ai lenses?

A: It should. The AI (auto indexing) feature isn't functional in this application. The lens is essentially a fully manual lens. As long as it has an aperture ring on the lens, it'll work.
