A: I use this Stand an boom on location. I have never had a concern about the boom being able to support and main light and large modifier when properly counter balanced. I do not have casters on my stand. If you are rolling on a very smooth floor the casters should do nicely. I was a little disappointed in the sturdiness of the stand. It flexes in the wind when extended and a supporting a loaded boom. But it seems to be holding up okay for now and it's hard to find another stand with the same specs that's any more sturdy.
