Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Canon T6s with a 18-135mm lens attached, will my camera fit in this backpack?

A: It is a very large bag. I have several lenses so it's fine for my stuff but if you have a camera and a lens it's probably a little too much bag.

Q: 2. Will a Canon 5D Mark IV and 2 long zoom lenses fit with any room to spare?

A: No - I am almost certain 2 long zoom lenses will not fit in this bag with a Canon 5D. Usually, I have a Canon 6D with a 24-105mm attached, along with the hood. I also carry a 20mm prime. I sometimes squeeze in a 100-400 along with these, but the hood won't fit in the bag - I have to take the hood off. When I have the long lens, my bag gets kindof distorted.

Q: 3. Will this bag fit a large camera (Nikon 3DS) with dimensions 6.3x6.2x3.4in (160x157x88mm) ? Most commonly attached to 85 f1.4 lens.

A: It appears that the internasl can be configured to accommodate your camera.

Q: 4. Where is the laptop compartment and does the zipper open at the top or side?

A: If you are wearing the backpack, the laptop compartment is the closest compartment to your back. As noted in another response, the shoulder straps attach to the top of the laptop compartment, and the zipper is to the right side if you are wearing the backpack. The laptop compartment opens to the side and the zipper starts at the top and pulls downward to open the compartment. Most compartments have two zipper pulls for access, but the laptop compartment does not. More than asked: I have fully loaded the backpack with 2 bodies with 70-200 & 24-105 lenses attached, and all the other glass I could fit in plus gadgets, plus a Dell Precision (not light) laptop. The backpack had to have weighed 40-50 lbs very heavy load on your back, but the backpack did not wince I may have a couple times . . .. Because of the weight when fully loaded, I sometimes choose to carry the laptop separately. When I bought, some reviews complained about the weight when fully loaded, but they did not add stars for the amount of equipment this thing will carry. It is designed to be the maximum carry-on size for a plane and barely fit into the overhead bin, not under a seat. You might even need to pull the laptop to get it in the overhead if you put as much in the backpack as I did. If travelling by car, it is really nice to use this as the primary storage container to leave in the trunk & just pull what is needed at the time into a smaller bag. The Ruggard product is extremely well made. If tanks were made of cloth, this would be a prime example. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Q: 5. Will this bag hold a Fuji XT-3 with battery grip?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. I am 5'4 and weight 105 lbs... Will this bag look ridiculously huge on me?!

A: I think it would look big, but if you have to carry 2 smaller bags that would be a hassle, too.

Q: 7. I just received this pack today. It is huge!!! I need something to carry my Canon R6 (no grip) with Sigma 150-600 attached. Does anyone know of a pack that will hold the R6 and Sigma which is not this big? I don't care to carry a bunch of other lenses, just the R6/lens combo.

A: These are smaller packs that will hold your camera and lens: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1340538-REG/think_tank_photo_475_streetwalker_v2_0_backpack.html/specs https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1286720-REG/mindshift_gear_380_trailscape_18l_backpack_charcoal.html/specs https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1375344-REG/tenba_636_412_solstice_12l_backpack_blue.html/specs

Q: 8. as far as how much it holds how does it compare to the Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0?

A: The thinktank Harddrive is a bit bigger coming in at 19.7 x 11 x 7.1" / 50.04 x 27.94 x 18.03 cm while the Rugged thunder comes in at 19.5 x 12 x 6.5" / 49.53 x 30.48 x 16.51 cm

Q: 9. This bag looks very familiar to the TT StreetWalker Pro. Has anyone compared the two?

A: They are similar bags but the manufacturers have designed them differently. This Ruggard Thunderhead 75 DSLR & Laptop Backpack is a larger bag than the ThinkTank Photo StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack, and more expensive too.

Q: 10. Would this accommodate a D500 attached to a 200-500, PLUS a D750 attached to either a 24-70, or 16-35 at same time?

A: No, you'll need to detach at least one of those two lenses.

I love this camera bag. It was a bit thicker than I expected, but it is extremely well-made. This bag is extremely durable and the internal rain fly is an excellent addition. Highly recommend this camera bag

I bought this backpack because when I travel, my other backpack was too large to maneuver in airports and airplanes. I haven't taken it on any trips yet but it became my new camera case. I put two of my lenses in it along with my camera. I also put my I-Pad in the tablet compartment. Still moving things around but so far a winner.

This bag is not bad at all, its bigger then I thought. I was not sure of purchasing , but in speaking with customer service for advice and i am glad it did, she was very knowledgeable and helpful with my decision .

The bag is well padded, has plenty of room for 3 lens plus one on the camera, could probably fit another small lens. The front compartments are spacey and also has plenty of room for cables, battery's a charger and the laptop compartment is well padded.

I purchased this bag just prior to a long outdoor adventure in South America and I'm happy to report that the bag survived and kept my camera gear intact. The bag expands very well as advertised. I was able to fit all my necessary camera gear plus had extra space for other travel accessories. The capacity is perfect for up to the larger crop factor DSLRs plus lenses, but I did manage to squeeze an ungripped Nikon D800E plus huge ultrawide zoom securely. Gripped or full pro cameras will struggle to fit comfortably, if at all. It is a small bag and will ride high for taller people (its waist belt is more of a belly belt), but I did not find that to be an issue. One thing I didn't like is that the memory card pockets are not divided, so they will toss around a bit. Still, the bag was the perfect form factor for my travel gear and was very easy to work around in the field.

This shoulder bag is small enough and big enough while offering great equipment protection. Perfect for camera body with a 16-50mm lens, a 50-250mm telephoto lens, flash and accessories. This bag is extremely well made with great stitching, plenty of storage pockets and dividers. You can't go wrong with this one.

I have quite a few camera bags.  This is a smaller/mid size bag that seems exceptionally well made.   Ive used it several times now and really like it.

This camera backpack allows you to carry a good amount of photo gear. It also has a spot to carry a lightweight tripod.

I bought this bag specifically for two reasons. 1. It met the requirements for carry on baggage and 2. It was specifically designed to also hold an ipad. I wanted something I was going to be able to carry on an airplane but that would also serve the purpose of carrying my ipad and my wallet, while also carrying all my photography equipment and this bag does just that. It is a tad bit bulky, but it definitely serves the purpose that I bought it for. It is also a little heavy empty, which makes it even moreso when it is full. It has tons of protection in it and the velco walls and pockets help to customize the interior to your needs. I haven't had it very long but it is definitely been a huge help so far.

I needed a small around town backpack and this one fits the bill. I have a Canon T5i, 2 lenses one small (50mm) and one larger one and both fit just right. Enough pockets for extras (batteries, filters, mem cards) and personal items. Love it that it also has the chest and waist strap and rain guard.
