Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with FaceTime on a Mac?

A: Yes, all you have to do on Face Time is choose to use an output device in the Face Time app and then select the camera.

Q: 2. Does the Ad300 Pro universal? I don't see options for the different brands

A: Unlike hot shoe-mounted flashes with regard to certain brand-specific features, strobes such as the Godox AD300pro Outdoor Flash (B&H# GOAD300PRO) will work even with brand-specific features (such as TTL and HSS) with many major brands of cameras. However, one needs a different type of transmitter for each brand in order to be able to use those features. Here are the versions of the especially practical Godox X2 2.4 GHz TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for the three most popular brands: For Canon (B&H# GOX2TC) https://bhpho.to/2VSItAP For Sony (modern mirrorless MIS hot shoe, not older Minolta-type hot shoe) (B&H GOX2TS) https://bhpho.to/3iIPCfz Nikon (B&H# GOX2TN) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1468007-REG/godox_x2tn_x2_2_4_ghz_ttl.html

Q: 3. Can this sync with a Samsung or IPhone for phone photography

A: The AD300Pro is not able to sync to an cellphone.

Q: 4. Does this light come with the improved version mounting bracket?

A: This light includes the most current mounting bracket.

Q: 5. Will this plug and play with a Chromebook?

A: Jeff:Since I don't own a Chromebook I can't be certain but if your unit has an open USB port it should work. By the way, it's a terrific unit!

Q: 6. No 24p support?

A: The Marantz Turret does not currently support 24p video.

Q: 7. Could I expect that the AD300 will have a faster recycle time at 1/4 or 1/2 power than V1? Hoping to use in burst shooting

A: GBT strobes (like the AD300Pro) will have a shorter recycle time the lower the power used. However if you wish to shoot burst, this is more likely a skill issue.

Q: 8. Is there an example of video shot from the turret?

A: I have compared the Turret video to a Logitech C920, Unfortunately I am not able to post links to this site. I was impressed by the quality, The only notable difference to me was that the C920 was slightly more wide angle, but not a deal breaker in my opinion.

Q: 9. Is Godox AD300 Pro and the Flashpoint 600 series strobes compatible as far as one being able to use the same hotshot flash trigger?

A: Yes

Q: 10. Is there any way to get the microphone out of the shot?

A: Yes. Push it away from the subject, closer in toward the base column.
