A: Not sure whay you'd try to add folding legs to a monopod. It's meant to be a single leg support...hence MONO pod. So, to answer your question; No, there are no folding legs that fit this item.

A: Yes. This is what I bought it for, although I would check out Impact light stands if that is what your looking for. Purchased them about 7 years ago and never looked back.

This monopod is a bit on the heavy side, but is a solid performer. Will take the weight of your equipment and provide a steady, stable support. The fold out legs come in handy as well. I've used it in a pinch as a speed light stand. The only criticism would be the legs banging around when stored, but a bit of tape on the shafts will fix that annoyance. 5

Its great for off camera flash, the mini-legs allow me to use it as an extra hand. It extends to a good height and its strong enough to do the job. I haven't found anything wrong with it. 5

I find a very robust equipment designed with hex key system to adjust the clamps at your preference. Easily supports a video Cam over 18 lb to move fast and shoot with an alternate system to heavy tripod or unsatable shoulder. Very recomendable with a tilt head. 5

Got this as part of a camera package deal and was very surprised by the quality, I really expected it to be of a much lesser quality. The sections lock securely and locks are easy to use. It has a clip to hang it from your belt when not using it and decent foam grip on the handle area. 5

This is very similiar to another manufacturer's self-stand. This has the extra section and the tripod legs seem not as noisy when folded inside. This kind of monopod allows rapid movement and less chance for being in the way than a tripod. 5

I use my ACM-2400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod for bird and flower photos. The weight of this item is excellent and the ease of setup with the quick lock leg extension makes it simple to use. You can quickly go from one height to another with the snap of a finger. I have found no issues that are bad about it yet. 5
