Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens work with my M50?

A: Yes. You need the M T mount. It is a manual lens.

Q: 2. Does this lens produce a ring/donut bokeh?

A: Yes

Q: 3. What's in the box?

A: Opteka 500mm f/8 Preset Telephoto Lens for T MountFront and Rear Lens CapsLens PouchLimited 10-Year Warranty

Q: 4. Can it be used on a Sony FDR-AX33 Handycam?

A: Yes; as the Sony FDR-AX33 4K Ultra HD Handycam Camcorder has a 52mm front filter thread size, yes, the Vivitar 52mm 2.2x Telephoto Attachment Lens, B&H # VIV52T, would be compatible for use with the Sony FDR-AX33 4K Ultra HD Handycam Camcorder.

Q: 5. will this fit on a 18-55 mm - nikon d3300?

A: I am sorry but I don't have enough information. Does your camera have a 67mm filter thread on the end of the lens? If your lens has say a 58mm then you will need to buy a 2x with 58mm thread. The quality is OK and is a cheap way to increase your lens to 110mm. I have a 18-135mm lens and decided that the 2x giving me 270mm is not quite enough. I am contemplating a 70-300mm. If you want to expand your photographic abilities I suggest thinking about buying a telephoto lens.

Q: 6. What size would I need to protect the lens on my Lumix DC-ZS80?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have a lens protector for the lens on that camera.

Q: 7. Is this compatable with the Sirui PH-20?

A: Yes, both the ProMediaGear Lens Foot for Canon Telephoto Lenses and the Sirui PH-20 are arca compatible so they will work together.

Q: 8. I recieved the 2.2 x 52mm telephoto attachment lens for Christmas. What exactly is the attachment for and what does it do?

A: It screws on to the end of your lens providing it has thread matching your lens. If your lens is 50mm with the attachment it now becomes 110mm.

Q: 9. Is it compatible with Canon ef 500 IS II? Thanks

A: Yes, the ProMediaGear Lens Foot for Canon Telephoto Lenses is compatible with the Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM Lens (B&H # CA5004LISEF2).

Q: 10. Will it work with the Sony 55-210 on a Alpha a6300 body? Also, can I mount this piece on my Promaster Fluid head tripod?

A: Yes, this will fit your camera. You will need to thread this device into your previous existing head.

I've owned a few macros in the Nikon world. My Nikon 55mm and 60mm were super sharp but the out of focus treatment was a bit busy and harsh. Neither were useable wide open. Same for my Tamron 90 in Nikon mount although it had great bokeh. But this lens is really sharp but maintains excellent bokeh as well and works for all settings in addition to macro. Many macros suffer when not used in macro. This one isn't that way. Some don't like the focus speed - but this is a byproduct of the long focus throw and is somewhat inevitable without increasing the bulk and weight. Some don't like the recessed filter threads and this is a bit of a rub at times. You can't use it with a reducer from a larger diameter without using some dummy extender rings. If not, when it retracts, it will jam that flange into the top of the lens and cause an error. Not sure if that causes damage. I haven't started fitting filters on this one yet.

Just got the 60mm macro for my X-T1. I will be using it on an upcoming trip to the Smokey Mountains in May. It's incrediable sharp and quickly focuses. I manual mode it's solid and accurate to focus.

I have owned macro lenses since 1976, and I purchased this lens to complete my Fuji X-E2s camera kit. It produces very sharp images and does double duty as a portrait lens. I am very happy with the images produced by this lens.

The only macro lens available from Fuji currently for their X mount. Sharp and does the job. The autofocus is a little slow (even with the firmware update), so it may take a while to get used to it.

This was the first lens I purchased after I switched to Fuji. Prior to DSLRs I lived with a Nikon FM2 and their 105mm f/2.5. I could never find an equivalent that satisfied me until this guy. The 90mm (35mm equivalent) view it provides has me as happy as I was. This lens is sharp in general and very sharp at macro. Some blogs and forums complain about the AF speed on this lens. I guess I got a good copy or just havent noticed in the two years Ive used it (always best to update your Fuji firmware is what I have learned). It has been on an X-E1 and X-T10 and never failed to please me with its IQ. I would definitely recommend this as a good short telephoto if the 56mm f/1.4 (either version) is out of your budgets comfort zone.

One of the best lenses i have. You have to use it to appreciate it. Don't think about it, buy it.

I use this lens mainly for flowers and for small object. The often reported slow focusing is largely irrelevant to my macro photos. There is always the recourse to manual focusing in tough applications. The resolution is outstanding and comparable in many cases to the Contax C/Y 60mm /2.8 I own. The main advantages iof the XF 60mm are half the weight and bulk and availability of auto focusing

This specialized lens has two great uses: macro and portrait photography. It's small, light weight on the Fujifilm mirrorless bodies I own make it useful for macrophotography either hand held, copy stand, or tripod. Also, the large aperture/longer focal length makes for great blurred background flattering portraits. For serious close ups, use manual control.

This is one of three primary lenses I purchased for my Fujifilm X Pro2 (other two are the Fuji 23mm and the Zeiss 12mm). This lens is quite sharp, light, and the macro is useful when you want to get close. f2.4 is fast enough for most work you'd use this lens for. Very happy with it
