Control USB webcams, flash drives, and other peripherals from up to 328' away with this USB 3.1 Gen 1 Over Cat 6 Ethernet Extender Kit from KanexPro. By transmitting USB 3.1 Gen 1 (aka 3.0) signals across Cat 6 Ethernet cables, you can transfer up to 5 Gb/s with compatible devices.

Simply connect the USB-B transmitter module to your compatible computer to get started. Then use a separately purchased Cat 6 Ethernet cable to connect it to the 4-port USB-A receiver, which may be powered using the included power adapter. No additional drivers are required. USB 2.0 and 1.1 speeds are supported along with bi-directional 24V Power Over Cat (PoC) is supported. Use the RS-232 and FSYNC GPIO passthrough connector with industrial cameras.

A: No the computer must have Thunderbolt 3. And if the computer has Thunderbolt 3 this is not used as a chassis for an eGPU but rather port expansion.
