My expectations were met by this wireless remote shutter release. I have the Cello Shutter Boss II and while it is my 'go-to' shutter release, I needed to have one where I wasn't having to deal with the vibrations that can result from a wired device. And, for light painting and moving around, this fit the bill. Easy to set up and use, almost without having to refer to the instructions. Good to have channel changing control so as to avoid interactions with others if they are around me in a group.
I do think one has to be a bit careful with the remote actuating button as it is easy to accidentally trigger the camera. Aside from that, I am happy with the range, my flexibility in moving away from the camera, and the ease of use. Meets my needs with a minimum of expense.

This product is very portable and easy to set up and use. It is always in my gear bag. I like it so I can walk to see the composition and perspective away from the camera and take the shot at the right moment. I have also used it a lot for birds, and other wildlife.

Easy to use, reliable remote for landscape, macro, products, portraits and wildlife. I have other camera controllers for specific purposes like timelapse and motion control... but the Vello Free Wave is for everyday photography and always in my bag. Used it for five years and ruined the unit by not removing the AAA batteries for a couple of months. My bad! (Was busy doing video work.) Immediately ordered another from B&H.

Bought it for real estate photography. Using Sony camera. Now I can trigger it from the other room and walls are not an obstacle any more. Haven't run into any issues yet. Works flawlessly. Easy to install and straight forward to use. The only thing that I would add is the button block on the remote control. Sometimes trigger button can be accidentally pocket pushed and trigger the shutter. Again, this is amazing trigger for its price! Very happy with the purchase.

I use this for taking pictures of birds and squirrels. Works from a far distance. Build quality seems good, nothing super fancy but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. With the remote you hold the button down halfway to focus, like you would on your camera, and then press fully to release the shutter. I attach the receiver to a wireless flash transmitter, so I can have my flash on a stand separate from my camera. I haven't used the other functions besides single frame, but I'm happy with it so far. It's super responsive and quick which is perfect for what I'm using it for.

The ability to use multiple transmitters, all with unique settings is very handy when filming with friends who have similar gear.
Great for taking individual or group shots without leaving someone out of the group - or without having to find a stranger to take your shots and then hoping he/she gets the framing correct.

I've had the Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless shutter Release for a couple of weeks. Setup was easy. To test the unit, I put the camera in one room and then walked two rooms away and tripped the transmitter. The camera (Nikon D7500) took a picture with no problem. Next I left the camera inside and then walked about 300' outside the house where I tripped the transmitter again. As before the camera took a nice picture. Vello has made a nice product. BHPhoto shipped the unit fast as promised. I have bought several items from BHphoto over the years and have been very satisfied. I'd give Vello and Bhphoto a 5 star rating.

Bought this Vello Freewave from B&H. Service was fast and product arrived in about 4 days with free shipping. The Vello Freewave work very nicely. It has 4 mode of functions, single, multiple continuous, bulb and 4 seconds delay. With the different cable release adapter, it can be use with different makes and model, eg Nikon, Sony, or Cannon. It has a 300 feet plus range and can be activated behind corners or behind objects which make it very useful for wildlife photos. Very please with product.

Is to set up and use. Works great.
