A: Officially, Panasonic does not list it in their documentation or specifications. However, most any Blu-ray player that supports Dolby TrueHD and bitstreamed output should support Dolby Atmos. Dolby is wrapping up the Atmos "objects" (the height information) into a Dolby TrueHD wrapper that works with existing players and receivers. When you send that Dolby TrueHD soundtrack out over HDMI to a Dolby Atmos-capable receiver or processor in bitstream mode, the receiver or processor detects that it is actually a Dolby Atmos track and processes the sound accordingly.

A: It should be “backwards compatible “ with older equipment. The issue is why would you get a 4K player when your receiver can’t utilize the 4K video? A: We have not actually had any hands-on time with this new product. It has not begun shipping yet. and the owner's manual is not yet published.

A: Both units are the same model. The Difference is the "M" model will come with a pre packaged HDMI cable while the other does not.

A: Yes. This player can down-convert to 1080p so your TV can process and play them. There will be no HDR so the image quality will be similar to regular Blu-ray.
