Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a Nikon D850 with a 70-200 2.8, a 15-30 2.8, and a 24-70 2.8 in the bag? or is it going to be cramped? Otherwise Ill go the Photocross 15 backpack.

A: It will fit that combination , one lens attached to the body and the other two on the sides

Q: 2. Would this backpack fit a D500 attached to 200-500 (w/lens collar/foot) ?

A: The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Lens on a Nikon D500 will fit in the MindShift Gear PhotoCross 13 Backpack.

Q: 3. Will this hold Sony A73, 70-200 2.8 GM, 16-35 2.8 GM, and Zeiss 50mm 1.4 ?

A: Yes it will hold them

Q: 4. Does this bag stand up independently? Can this bag collapse so that can be placed in checked luggage?

A: It's really made to lay down but if you pack it just right it may stand up on its own. it will not flatten enough to pack in something without taking up a lot of room on its own, so not really good in that situation either. As a previous answer said though, it is a great lightweight backpack.

Q: 5. Will this fit a Canon R6 (no battery grip) with attached Sigma 150-600?

A: The PhotoCross 13 Sling Bag would be too small for the Canon EOS R6 with a SIgma 150-600mm lens, even with an EF-R adapter attached.

Q: 6. Would it be possible to place a hydration water bag in the space for the laptop?

A: Yes, as long as it is within 9.1 x 13.0 x 0.8".

Q: 7. how flat will this bag get? I transport my cameras in a roller then switch to bag onsite so needs to pack in a suitcase

A: Bag can be compressed down to between three and 4 inches. It has a stiff back so it cannot be folded. Overall its a great bag.

Q: 8. The reviews seem to be for a sling bag (one strap?) but the photos show a backpack. Which is it? And does the backpack have decent shoulder straps since it seems like a lot of the user reviews say the sling bag straps aren't great.

A: It has 2 straps so it is not a sling bag.

Q: 9. Will this bag hold my Canon EOS 1D and a 70 mm lense

A: I have Nikon products and it can Hile my Nikon d500 with a 70-200 lens on plus my 18-300 lense, flash and large strap.

Q: 10. Is this case waterproof?

A: No, it is weather resistant.

I bought this bag a few months ago essentially for a trip to Europe this summer. I've had it out for urban shoots a few times. It's nice and light weight. I carry my 7D with a Canon 10-22mm attached (laying on it's side)and a Canon 35 f1.4 outside the padded box. I really like to lay the camera down on it's side and pull it out freely. Once the camera is out, I put the 35 mm into the padded box. This is not a huge bag but it is lightweight. You can add other accessories to the bag but they may have to go on the outside of the box. I wasn't too pleased with the strings on the zippers so I took them off and added key chain rings. I added a carabiner to join the key chain rings and the carabiner has a screw mechanism for security. This is mostly for my trip to Europe for security purposes. Even with my 7D, lenses and a light jacket, it is really light which is key for walking around all day.

This review starts with a Manfrotto Stile Collection: Agile 1 bag that was purchased for a Nikon P7100 camera, SB400 flash and a few other goodies. While nice, the Manfrotto was stiff sided and somewhat awkward to get into. It was better suited for a DSLR and extras. As always, the exchange process with B&H was silky smooth. I settled on the Lowepro Passport Sling to replace it and couldn't be happier. Where the Manfrotto was stiff and formed, the Passport is flexible and adaptable. For a camera like the P7100 or even a DSLR and a lens or flash, it's perfect. The bag hangs naturally on your body and forms to you rather than you having to adapt to its shape and size. It's comfortable and unassuming (read that, doesn't look like a camera bag). The expandable feature is very handy if you need to bring a water bottle, small jacket or a book or iPad. There are pockets to hold small stuff in convenient locations. No bag is perfect for everyone but what this thing offers is exactly what I was looking for. I have a big Tamrac bag for my DSLR that is heavy when loaded but this Passport Sling is an ideal way to hit the streets with the mirrorless P7100 when I don't want its big brother. I may buy another one to dedicate to my big camera when I don't need all my stuff. This is not a carry-all DSLR system bag. This is a day bag with room for extra 'stuff'. It looks good, is built well, holds all my stuff safely. What's not to like?

I have two of these bags, one for video and one for still cameras. It is a great alternative to a messenger bag. Fits 2 still cameras, 3 lenses in padded covers, sd cards, flash, and my personal things. Outside pockets are generous and allow quick access to store things, lens caps and such. Fits hd camera, monopod, small light with shoe, wireless mics, and assorted cords, 2 cross-body padded camera straps and my personal stuff. Strap is long enough to put the bag on your lap/in front of you while wearing it on buses, trains, large crowds. Mica color is not taupe as appears in product picture, its more a light camo green. Does not scream expensive gear, steal me, very understated, stands up to heavy use, great value for the money.

It is great, fits perfectly my small camera (Nikon V1), extra lens and a flash. It also has room for other personal stuff. Easy to carry on. Take care with the outside open pockets...

I use this Passport Sling camera bag with my Nikon 5000D camera, 55-300M lens, 10-24 Lens, and my common lens. After putting in my camera, extra lenses, wallet, a small notebook, and a bottle of water with room to spare. There are 4 or 5 outside pockets to slide the lens cap in while you are shooting, maybe a pen, your keys, chapstick, etc. It was really great to use while I was in NYC! I could carry everything I needed, plus my camera and it looked fashionable. This is the best camera bag I have ever had!

I bought this recently and took it with me on a short trip to Philadephia and then a weeklong trip to a Mexican resort. While walking about Philly I enjoyed the extendable pouch on the end which I utilized in leiu of an additional purse. The bag was comfortable to carry around. I also like the outer side pockets. Navigating the airport situation to Mexico is was nice to have a smaller hands-free bag. The shoulder cushion started to provide slightly less relief after lugging the bag around half the day, but that might've been a function of my sunburnt shoulder. The bag stored my D7000 with attached medium-size lens. A telephoto fit nicely in secondary padded compartment. Like I said, the bag has ample side space (not fully padded) for additonal accessories.

I use this bag to carry my Nikon D5100 and two lenses- a 50mm and an 18mm-108mm. It can hold those items and still has outside pockets for other things. It is very well constructed, and it expands for more room if needed. I wanted a camera bag that doesn't advertise that I'm carrying a camera. I am happy with this bag as it suits my needs. If you have much longer lenses, it may not work for you.

Great bag, using it for my E-M5 and E-P2 and lenses. The bag is light, and the extra space after unzipping the side, gives you extra space. Well built. Does not llok like a photo bag.Nothing bad about it. Best one to travel.

I'm a beginner to the DSLR cameras, but I really love my new camera bag! It holds my Nikon D5100 camera and an extra lens perfectly and securely! Plus I have plenty of room for extra stuff I want to carry along with me. The cross-over strap and the design of the bag make it feel lighter and much less bulky than my more traditional camera bag. I used to always carry my compact digital camera in my purse, and I found that the bulkiness of the traditional bag was causing me to leave my new camera behind many times...as I didn't feel comfortable carrying my new Nikon in a purse. I wanted something gender neutral that felt more natural to carry. If I could change anything, I would really like to see a zippered outside pocket rather than just open pockets. But with the inside pockets, it's not a big deal.

I couldn't imagine a more comfortable camera bag, It's even comfortable to remove the camera from it while walking around. It's ease of use is wonderful. Everything fits, and then some, which for me is a good thing. I wear it as a sling, and just sling it in back to shoot, and it slides around when I need to replace the camera. It's sliding shoulder pad is a great thing.
