Q: 10. I bought the 12 foot stand- though the specs say it closes down to 42 inches – it is 45! Could I be doing something wrong?

A: There should only be one way to close the Kupo Universal Stand (Black, 12.5'). The manufacturer does state that the closed length of the stand is 42.1 inches, or 107 cm. I would make sure that all risers on the stand are at their shortest setting, and also make sure the knobs on the stand are not interfering with each other and restricting the stand from closing properly. You may also check to ensure no additional studs or accessories are connected to the top of the light stand.
