Quickly and easily align the bore of your .223 Remington rifle with your optic or adjustable sights using this In-Chamber Laser Boresight from P2M Boresights. Place the boresight in the chamber and adjust your sights or optic to the point where the laser meets a target. You don't need to spend any ammo for the process, and will probably use fewer rounds when it's time to zero because you're already roughly aligned. The red Class IIIA laser is powered by two AG5 or three AG3 batteries.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 Q & A works with a RODE k2 correctly?

A: I have a Rode K2 and it does fit inside.

Q: 2. Will this work with an Apogee Mic+?

A: This device is not recommended for the Apogee Mic+ since the mic is smaller than most standard large diaphragm condensers, and since the Apogee's controls would be hidden inside the unit.

Q: 3. Would this work with a Rode NT-USB Mini? I imagine it would if the bottom hole in the foam was shipped with a circular cutout, which I could leave in.

A: Unfortunately, I think the knobs on the side of the NT-USB will get in the way when mounting this. Using a reflection filter that does not surround the mic fully will probably be a better option for the mic you have.

Q: 4. Does this help eliminate computer fan noise?

A: This would help to reduce fan noise from a pc. For best results, you would want to use this, spaced as far away from the pc as possible, with the rejection side of the mic facing the pc.

Q: 5. can i use the new ENEL-18a battery with this? Does anyone know how many shots one can take with ENEL-18s vs. ENEL-15?THanks

A: The New EN-EL18a battery is compatible with the MB-D12 battery grip with the BL-5 battery chamber cover, yes. Nikon doesnt list battery life with the new EN-EL18a, but with the older EN-EL18 they estimate 1,400 shots by CIPA standards. With the EN-EL15 they estimate 900 shots by CIPA standards.

Q: 6. Is the BL-5 compatible with the MB-D17 for D500?

A: Chandler, yes the BL-5 is compatible with the MB-D17. I ordered three to use with D810's MB-D12 grip. When the EN-EL 18a battery is paired with the BL-5, You can shoot with the D500 for a bigger part of the day. If you can recharge at the end of the day, two BL-5,s and two of the EN-EL 18a batteries would keep you going.

Q: 7. I just want to make sure I have this straight. If you have the MB-D12, you can purchase this chamber cover and an EN-EL18a battery to expand the power capacity (going from an EN-EL15 to this 18) of my D810?

A: The New EN-EL18a battery is compatible with the MB-D12 battery grip with the BL-5 battery chamber cover, yes

Q: 8. Does this work with the Vello BG-7 Battery Grip (for Nikon D800/e/810)?

A: I think the answer is no. I bought it for the original Nikon grip, with which of course it works as designed. From the reviews on B&H's website, it sounds like (from the most liked negative review) the Vello BG-7 differs in dimensions (bigger) from the MB-D12 Nikon grip, which means the BL-5 probably would not fit properly. There is also the unknown as to whether the grip's electronics would function with the D4 battery, since it doesn't appear to be designed with that functionality in mind. However, most of this is speculation on my part. I do not own the Vello grip and have not tried this BL-5 battery chamber cover on it, so perhaps someone else can offer some first hand experience.

Q: 9. Will a Yeti Blue Mic fit inside this? With the base on my desk?

A: It is possible to fit the Blue Yeti USB Microphone with the attached desktop base inside the Auray VOCDOC-ISOMD Microphone Isolation Chamber; however, it is recommended to mount the microphone to the Blue Radius III Shock mount for Yeti and Yeti Pro USB Microphones for better vibration absorption.

Q: 10. Will this work on a desk anchored boom with Heil FL-2, supporting an AT2035 mic? I'm aware that it would accommodate the mic but wonder about the weight on the swivel boom?

A: It really depends on how much weight the boom arm can support. The combined weight of the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 and AT2035 is 2.2 lbs without including an XLR cable. The Heil Sound FL-2 Flange Mount is designed to work with the Heil Sound PL2T Overhead Studio and Broadcast Boom Mount (B&H # HEPL2T) which can support up to 3.5 lbs. Based on this information, if you are using the PL2T or a similar boom arm that is capable of supporting the weight, it should work. Regardless, it is still a substantial amount of weight for a boom arm, so I would recommend being very careful when moving the arm with the mic and isolation mount attached and avoid placing it where it may be accidentally bumped.
