Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello, could this be used with a Fujifilm X100VI ? Thank you!

A: Yes, the O-rings on the Leica O-Ring Double Rope Strap (Black, 49.6") will fit through the FUJIFILM X100VI Digital Camera strap eyelet.

Q: 2. Does it fit any Leica lenses like 50 summicron, or 90 elmarit?

A: Yes, it is compatible with both lenses.

Q: 3. Compatible with Godox P90L?

A: No, this Photoflex Rod is specific to the Photoflex Small OctoDome Softbox.

Q: 4. what is the length of these rods?

A: These rods are 24" long.

Q: 5. What is the payload capacity?

A: Unfortunately, a payload capacity is not listed for the Vello Flexible TTL Rod for Canon, but it is made for on camera flashes that usually weigh in between 300 and 600 grams.

Q: 6. A flash bracket is typically quick to rotate from horizontal to portrait mode. Is this too stiff to bend without putting pressure on the camera hotshoe? Thanks.

A: The flexible rod will easily bend to 90 degrees and beyond (The manual says 180, for whatever good that would do). If you bend it before you attach it to the hot shoe you can avoid some accidental strain. However, you will still have the offset weight of the flash unit and part of the flexible TTL rod. Additionally you will need to be careful with the flash unit installed because it can add 16-18 to the height (or width) of the camera. If you bump this into something I believe it would be possible to damage the hot shoe.

Q: 7. Will this provide you the measurements in feet?

A: Yes the LD70 has both metric and imperial settings.

Q: 8. how many jerkstooper comes in the box?

A: This listing is for a single jerkstopper.

Q: 9. Getting mixed messages from reading the reviews. So, is this an original OEM Leica lens thread protection ring or not?

A: Yes, the Leica Lens Ring for Q/Q-P/Q2 (Black) is manufactured by Leica.

Q: 10. Will this work to hold a remote on a Canon 5D Mark2?

A: Yes. It connects to the strap holder of the camera which is the same on most Canon models.

I bought this on a whim while purchasing external mics for my camcorders. They either had no cord or a short one that was not easily snagged, but my earphone cords were accidents waiting to happen. The JerkStopper proved its worth when I used it with my earphones.

I've never shot tethered before. I'm a believer! This jerk stopper gave me confidence that my laptop and camera were secure.

While a little on the expensive side for what it is, the JerkStopper does its job well.

For what it is - it serves its purpose well. I tether my camera when shooting corporate headshots and the JerkStopper ensures my tether cable doesn't separate from my camera. Pricey, but necessary in this context.

This is my preferred type of tether keeper out of the many I've tried. I shoot tethered A LOT, but occasionally I will want to disconnect really quickly and shoot to card in order to capture another angle or follow the action (I always keep a memory card in the camera for this purpose and also as a backup if the computer drops the connection). This Quick-Release designed tether allows me to quickly untether, but will otherwise keep the tether secured until I decide to disconnect. Other than keeping a reliable connection to the computer, I use thether locks or keepers to protect the camera's USB or FireWire port from being damaged when a cable gets jerked out of the camera with lateral force. This can be a costly repair. I don't care for the tether blocks that mount under the camera to the tripod socket. They keep the cable captive, are slow to remove, and also add bulk to the camera when hand-holding off tripod...and even more so if you add a tripod Quick-Release plate to the bottom of the tether block. The Jerk-Stopper does allow the tether cable to loosely dangle a bit off of the side of the camera, which can sometimes get in the way and be a slight nuisance, but so far it's the only one I've found that does its job while still allowing me to quickly disconnect the tether. My 2 cents FWIW.

The little quick release part of these are really handy.

I did an all day tethered shoot using the JerkStopper. There is no telling how many times I stepped on the tether cable and would have pulled the cable from the camera. If you are going to shoot tethered this is a required piece of equipment.
