Safely support your heavy cinema camera rig with the StediFast HD 100/75mm Two-Stage Aluminum Tripod from SCG. Designed for use with a separately available fluid head, this lightweight two-stage, three-section tripod features a 100mm bowl and includes a 75mm bowl adapter for support for a wide range of heads. For greater rigidity with heavier loads, the aluminum tripod legs include a mid-level spreader for support. When removing the spreader, the legs can spread for a height down to 12" for low-angle shots. The StediFast also comes equipped with wide, removable rubber feet that enable you to use the tripod safely on flat or uneven surfaces. When they are removed, you can utilize the spiked feet to keep stability on soft and grippy surfaces. It folds down to 30" in length for easy transport.

Q: 1. is the middle spreader prone to breakage? or is it completely stable even at widest point?

A: We have not heard of any particular issues regarding breakage of the spreader. Stability would be another matter but no issues there that we know of either.

A: The short answer is yes.You will need an adapter. I suggest either one of the attached adapters seen below.The Manfrotto has a low profile and is very solid. However, there is no leveling possible, for it holds the head in just one position. The ikan adapter is more expensive, rests the head and camera about 2 higher. However you can level with it.

Q: 3. can a second pan handle be added to the other side ?

A: You will need to also use an Arca-Swiss adapter unless your bottom plate has a 1/4''-20 thread.

A: Yes, that camera will have a 1/4 mount on the bottom that will allow the camera to be mounted onto this tripod.

A: Yes it is. A Pan Handle is included with this tripod system.

Q: 8. What's the difference between this tripod and the ACE 72/2 CF? Are they the same?

A: Currently there is available the Sachtler Ace 75/2 Carbon Fiber Tripod (75mm), which is a Carbon Fiber or CF tripod system. Currently we do not have an ACE "72/2 CF". This is the same tripod that comes with the Sachtler System Ace XL MS CF system.

A: Unfortunately, specs for the EK-40AAM tripod legs aren't publicly available any longer directly from E-Image, but I can confirm a range of between 77-88 lb. as the recommended maximum payload for them based on their design and what notes I have from the manufacturer and previous product managers.
