Q: 5. Does this plate allow data pass through to the camera to indicate time remaining on the komodo? I am currently using this plate in conjunction with the AB Titon 45 battery and the komodo is saying it is an incompatible battery and unable to communicate time remaining in terms of power. Obviously this is a problem during shooting not readily knowing when the battery is about to die.

A: no it does not, only specific plates approved by RED and listed on their site are able to communicate with the camera. please refer to the manufacture (RED) website for their list of approved third party plates that will support this functionality

A: Hello Lawrence,I purchased this charger this past November and it has been working well. It will charge both batteries simultaneously. Unfortunately the charging time depends on the battery condition at the time of charge. I have to say that they charge fairly quickly. There is only one charge rate fast . Not sure what the service life is, but it does come with a one year limited warranty. I've been satisfied with tis performance. Hope this helps. Good luck.

A: Ken -- I believe you can do that, although we have not tested it. However, I would not recommend that. A: The DR-CH2A will charge the Dionic 90 batteries. There is a standard AC plug included.

A: I use switronix brand, but yeah IDX v mount batteries should also charge just fine in this unit.
