It would be easier to configure a consumer-grade mesh network, but I prefer the ceiling mount and POE of the UAP-AC-Lite, and I have the internet cables in place to make it happen. A: It depends on what it has to go through. 400' line of sight, but drywall, metal, cement, stone, glass etc will all weaken the signal. So it may only work in the room it is in or cover a whole house.

A: No. The 5-pack doesn't include any PoE injectors. Only single access point packages include them.I use Ubiquiti's switches to provide power over Ethernet instead of using injectors.Make sure to choose the right switch. Some APs require non-standard passive 24 Volt power. Not all Ubiquiti support it, last I checked. I think they have an 8-port or a 16-port that does.

A: The signal will be affected, you would want to mount it facing down. The Antenna is not a full 360 and it works best facing in the direction of the wireless clients.
