Q: 1. What would be the maximum shutter speed when shooting in Hypersync with Sony and Canon ?

A: It would depend on the maximum mechanical shutter speed of your camera. While the Rotolight does not use HyperSync technology (which is only used by PocketWizard's FlexTT5/FlexTT6 and MiniTT1 radio remotes), it is compatible with High Speed Sync (HSS) when using a camera and radio transmitter/receiver that is also High Speed Sync-compatible. Rotolight lists on page 10 of the Rotolight AEOS instruction manual that they recommend HSS triggers such as the Cactus VI II, the PocketWizard FlexTT5 and FlexTT6, both which have models compatible with Canon cameras, and the Phottix ODIN II, which has models compatible for both Canon and Sony cameras. With these radio triggers and their compatible receivers/transceivers, you would be able to shoot to the camera's maximum mechanical shutter speed, which on most higher-end cameras is 1/8000th of a second.

Q: 2. What is the continuous output of the Aeos at distances 5-6' and 10'?

A: Unfortunately, Rotolight only lists the flash output at 3ft, 6ft, 9ft, 12ft, and 15ft, listing the f-stop in continuous mode, f-stop in flash mode, and Guide Number at varying ISO settings (the link to this chart is listed below). However, they only state the Lux output measured at 3 feet, which is listed as 5750 lux @ 3ft. If you need the Lux output for the other distances, you would have to contact Rotolight directly with your inquiry by e-mailing them at enquiries@rotolight.com to see if they have this information available.http://bit.ly/2oIamrw

Q: 3. Can the SWIT 98WH battery works well with Rotolight AEOS without compromising any of the functionalities?

A: Yes it will

Q: 4. Are there any other soft boxes that would work with this light?

A: The only one that is made for that light is, Rotolight Softbox Kit for AEOS LED Light BH #RORLAEOSSKIT • MFR #RL-AEOS-SOFT-KIT https://bhpho.to/3wOnKf6

Q: 5. I already have an Elinchrom Skyport transmitter plus for Nikon. Will this work with that?

A: Yes it will work

Q: 6. What is needed to trigger this light and use it as a HSS flash (for Canon and Sony)?

A: EOS will work with any HSS trigger/receiver combo with either a PC sync port or 3.5mm flash sync port on the receiver. The only thing that matters is that it is high speed sync capable trigger/receiver (HSS), that your camera is capable of HSS (not all are - particularly Fuji's) and that the receiver has a PC sync port or 3.5mm flash sync port, so you can connect it to AEOS, which has a 3.5mm mini jack flash sync port. You can also just use a wired PC sync cable to 3.5mm mono jack cable (for AEOS) for a much cheaper option if desired. We have tested and would specifically recommend:Pixel King PRO (This is the best price option) and you can buy as a set of 2 (one can be transmitter, one the receiver) For Sony (King PRO S) For Canon : Pixel King PRO XFor Nikon : Pixel King PRO XOther options we like :1. Phottix ODIN II (Canon/ Nikon) Or2. Sony HSS transmitter/ receiver Jason Lanier uses this but it is pretty pricey so option 1 is a better bet. Trigger:Sony FA-WRC1MReceiver: Sony FA-WRR13. Wired PC sync cable The vastly cheaper option (although obviously a little less flexible than wireless triggers) is to buy a PC sync cable, IF your camera has a PC sync port on it. Not all of them do, but if it does then you can just use a long PC sync cableThanks let me know if you have any other questions!

Q: 7. Is this thing more powerful in continuous mode than the Lowel Gl-1?

A: Lowel Gl-1 it has longer throw , however this is softer light

Q: 8. What type of battery do these take?

A: You can use a pair of NPF batteries like these Watsons https://bhpho.to/2kjctmI.

Q: 9. Has anyone used LED bulbs as replacements for the ones included? My local hardware store has 5,000K LED bulbs and they even will use less power (13W) compared to the ones supplied (26W).Also, the description say the fixture is only rated for 200W total. But the box it comes in says 600W total or 150W per socket. Has anyone received the 600W fixture and used bigger bulbs?

A: It can only support a maximum of 200 watts. You can use led lamps as long as they fit and the bulbs do not exceed 50 watts each.

Q: 10. Is the battery mount compatible with the SmallRig V Mount Battery VB99?

A: Yes the SmallRig V Mount Battery VB99 attaches to the Rotolight AEOS via the V mount on the light.
