Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the exterior length inluce the handle and wheels?

A: Yes it does, but with the handle retracted.

Q: 2. I want know how many lens & body can fit in this case.

A: I am able to fit my 610 body plus 6 different shorter lens (if you plan on storing a longer lens you will need to lay it sideways causing you to lose a few lens spots) and my speedlite 510. My 70 to 300 fits standing up but just barely. A 70 to 200 2.8 would have to lay down.

Q: 3. Has anyone carried this on a plane? It seems to be about 1 over specs on the 10 height, which is 1 over, but it is under the max dimensions on the other 2 sides. I don't think it would be a big deal, but I thought I would ask.

A: I carry it on a plane weekly. Yes its too big for the overhead. I have a padding kit inside. It has two non TSA padlocks on it and the case is bulletproof. Just check it and dont worry about it. They can throw it around all they want. Mine has about 50lbs of sensitive instruments in it.

Q: 4. Can anyone comment on how much foam should surround a camera body when shipped or when placed in airline luggage? I may use this case with an Ursa mini pro. I'm wondering if 2 inches above and below is adequate, or if I should purchase a deeper pelican?

A: Many cases used in our company (live-event AV) have 2 of foam around them and the gear is well protected from event to event. We rarely send gear as luggage, though. Personally, I would want 3 of foam that was not pick-n-pluck. The airline may toss or drop your case, and you don't want to run into issues caused by excessive force reaching the camera. Think about abused UPS boxes you sometimes receive. There are several places you can get foam pre-cut to fit your Pelican that you can cut out yourself to fit your gear. Additionally, you can use shock or damage indicators inside your case when shipped as luggage to indicate what kind of extremes it endured. I hope that is helpful to you.

Q: 5. Can this fit a RF 70-200 2.8 upright, and what about with additional lid organizer will it still fit if?

A: Yes. The Canon 70-200mm f2.8 RF lens will fit in the Pelican Carry-On Case with Trekpak Divider System (Black, Special 50th Anniversary Edition) in any direction you choose. Only 1 lid organizer can fit in the case.

Q: 6. What is the major difference between the various models of pelican bags?

A: You will need to more specific about which models you are comparing, the model numbers designate the size of the case and other features, so you should be able to work out from the description what the differences are...

Q: 7. inside dimensions?

A: The interior dimensions of the Pelican Carry On 1510 Case with Dividers (Black) is 19.75 x 11 x 7.6 (50.17 x 27.94 x 19.3cm) (LxWxD).

Q: 8. will my Acer Predator Helios 500 Laptop fit in this Case?

A: Unfortunately, this case would be too narrow to fit the Acer Predator Helios 500 Laptop.

Q: 9. Can the padded dividers be altered?

A: Yes completely - all the dividers are attached to each other with velcro

Q: 10. Will a Sony a9ii body and 200-600 lens fit?

A: Yes a Sony A9 II body and a Sony FE 200-600mm lens can fit in this case.

Will be using the case for travel for camera and video gear. Definitely strong and solid. Good size for airline baggage check in.

I am loving this casse. I can get a ton of photography equipment in it, even more than I imagined I could. I will not hesitate to store this in the back of my truck while on photot trips.

Everything fits! Nikon 70-200, 70-300 and new 80-400 all stand vertically in case with hoods reversed. Room for 2 bodies many lenses and accessories. Rugged and convenient. A real bargain.

Recent I bought new Profoto gear and needed a way to protect it, so Pelican cases were the best choose. This is a hard case, offering great protection, that is water tight. Handles are amazingly well built with a handle on each of three sides. The case has built in wheels and is very roomy. I was able to fit 2 1200 Acute packs and 3 D4 Heads.

I use this for transporting camera/film gear and RC Helicopter gear, and I tried many other cheaper products before finally getting a pelican case. I travel a lot, and I needed a case that would never fail, and could be pad locked. This case is bombproof, there isn't an airline/valet/taxi driver on earth that could damage it. The wheels and handle are priceless. This size (1610) is particularly great for travel because it got plenty of interior room, but it's not too long to squeeze into tough spaces

This Pelican case was exactly what I wanted. I did have a backpack case for my Sony PMW EX-1 camera but decided I needed something sturdier with wheels that could be checked if needed when traveling. Pelican cases are waterproof and very sturdy. The dividers in this case worked very well for my application, giving me a way to organize audio, camera light, gaff tape, etc., in addition to the camera and peripherals.

Swore I wouldn't buy more gear after I filling up my 1514, but here I am with a 1614. This case is big! Very good for keeping things organized and storage.

Did a ton of research on this case. I looked at Tenba and Lightware and decided that the ruggedness of this case was what I needed. It weighs about 24 lbs and I can fit 3 Profoto D1 heads + power cables and still stay under 50 lbs for travel. When shooting locally I can fit 4 heads.
