I purchased this as a replacement for my Crumpler Keystone backpack. Even though the Crumpler was physically a much larger bag, the Domke actually holds far more gear. At the moment it easily holds: Nikon D200 with MB-D200 grip and Nikkor 17-55mm f2.8 Nikkor 70-210 f4 Nikkor 50mm f1.4 Lensbaby Original Leica D-Lux 2 Nikon SB-600 Elinchrome Radio trigger set My lightmeter As well as various cables, and about a half dozen memory cards... My only complaint is that there could be a little bit more padding in the bottom...

The waxwear really looks nice and appears to be durable as well as water proof. The bag is a comfortable size and holds a Nikon d200 3 lenses plus a flash. It will carry a 70-200mm but the rear of the lens protrudes approx 2 above the padding.

If you spend ANY time at all researching this bag it quickly becomes clear that it's one of a kind. I pride myself on spending at least a few months researching before making any important purchases. The reality is there just weren't any other bags out that seemed to be able to match the F2. Stunning reviews aside I was skeptical. Buzz is sometimes just that... buzz. I'm please to say that it's not just hype. Inside my F2 I carry: - D90 - 18-200mm VR - 50mm - 10.5mm Fisheye - SB800 Speedlight - 13 inch Macbook Unibody - Extra batteries, wires, manuals, etc - Back up GRD III - Fujifilm Instax w/ a bunch of extra film (Great for giving away with your business card when you're doing an event! Give people something they WANT to keep haha) - Bose Headphones and and my ipod. Basically my point here is that all of my need to have gear and electronics go in this bag. AND I trust them in it. I run around to different clubs and events in Shanghai and this bag barely gets a second look. Get it. **Remember that this bag is low on padding and things can slide around. I use a camera wrap and a few other little bags/boxes to house things.

This is by far one of the best designed and crafted camera bags. Undo the two clips and away you go, quick and easy. The wax coating keeps the bag and most of all your camera gear clean and dry. This is a must have

Did i get what i wanted? On a recent photography tour with @ the tour leaders saw me in the hotel lobby and for a moment said to themselves that can't be him, no way that bag has enough gear to be a photographerMy only complaint is that the flap closes with two fasteners that are quite hard to get open, i am sure they will never fall open so thats a possitive, but i felt they were a little hard to open for anyone using the bag on the go, your hands might be stronger than mine.

This bag is very rugged and well built. The shoulder strap is sufficient for carrying a fully loaded bag without worry. I can fit a D300 with grip, D80, 80-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8, and a 12-24 F4 along with all the hoods for those lenes, extra batteries, an SB-600, battery charger, and extra memory cards with room to spare for one more lenes. Great bag for weddings !

Having purchased one of the original brown canvas Domke bags in 1976, I had high expectations for a new F2. I wasn't disappointed. The canvas bag breaks in quickly. Tumbling it in the dryer with a pair of sneakers helps the process. It carries volumes of lenses and accessories. If you have a DSLR with larger diameter zoom lenses, I strongly recommend the wider four compartment insert (item #720-245W). The wide gripper strap works well. The post office shoulder pad makes it even easier to carry a full bag all day. The F2 also stores your equipment when you put the bag on a shelf. I have tried many bags over the years but I always come back to Domke bags. Comfortable, professional gear that is also a great value.

I have been using a back pack style camera bag for several years and wanted a bag that was easier to get in and out of. After receiving the bag I loaded it up and went out shooting. In the bag Canon 50D,10-22mm, 70-200mm, 24-135mm, Luna Pro, extra batteries and cards, manuals, and some other stuff. The bag worked perfectly. It fit enough gear and was comfortable. There are enough pockets to fit misc. stuff. The only drawback is that the insert that comes with the bag doesn't fit my gear as I would want it to but you can order different inserts. Overall I love the bag.

Not having owned a Domke bag prior to this, I relied on other ratings and reviews that I had seen. I have not been disappointed...just got back from a trip at to the beach and the bag did great. I find it easier to access my photo equipment than with the backpack I used previously. It's also comfortable to carry and seems to be built very well. While it is not a padded bag, I don't have any concerns that equipment carried in this bag will be damaged. I look forward to using this bag for many years.
