A: Hi Austin. This is a manual focusing lens. The blink will occur with auto focusing lenses. This lens is intended to be used with a tripod and stopped down a bit (f/8.0) should work. Use the manual focus ring to set the distance. With the aperture stopped down on a 17mm lens just about everything in the frame should be in focus.

A: The lens has no hood or filter ring. You must use it with Lee or other filter holders. The lens is strictly manual focus, manual exposure and is best used with a 1 deg. spot meter.
