A: Hi Austin. This is a manual focusing lens. The blink will occur with auto focusing lenses. This lens is intended to be used with a tripod and stopped down a bit (f/8.0) should work. Use the manual focus ring to set the distance. With the aperture stopped down on a 17mm lens just about everything in the frame should be in focus.

I have this mounted on a full frame Canon 5D II The only time I have experienced any vignetting was when adding the Lee filter system and it was made clear by Lee that I would have a bit of edge vignette with this setup.
