The black 17RTCSR 17" Sunlight Readable LED-Backlit Monitor with Transflective Technology from Orion Images offers enhanced high brightness LCD color display for high ambient light applications. This transflective-enhanced anti-glare display is readable under all lighting conditions including direct or indirect sunlight - the stronger the ambient light the brighter the image. The advantage of transflective technology is that there is no extra heat generation and lower power consumption, and contrast and brightness is naturally brighter to help preserve the life of the back light. This monitor is designed for use in applications such as industrial machinery, kiosks, ATM machines, and order confirmation systems.

The transflective sunlight readable LCD enhances panel PC systems in terms of brightness, dimming range, and viewing pleasure. This transflective LCD holds both transmissive and reflective properties; the method of image display depends upon the conditions of the ambient environment. The display uses a backlight with a transmissive property in dark environments, and uses external light with a reflective property in bright environments.

A: The advantage of having a monitor connected to the recording unit allows you to set up the unit as well as view the cameras in real time. However, if you do not want to have a monitor there full time, you only need one when you will need to review the footage.

Q: 2. Does the 26 wire cable already have the connectors for HDMI? Is the case waterproof? Are both mounts included?

A: This GFG armored touch panel and ruggedized aluminum casing, makes it ideal for outdoor applications, and is recommended for marine use, but it not rated as waterproof in any of the manufacturer's literature. DVI Input is available through the included DVI to HDMI Adaptor. This version includes the 360 degree copper monitor stand only.

Q: 3. Can I do split screen from SDI A and SDI B?

A: Not that we are aware of. JVC does not list split screen as an option in the manual for this monitor.

Q: 4. How does the new JVC DT-N24F compares with the old DT-V24G11Z? More specific the image processing. Is the new one intended for studio/color correction use or is more for field type work like pulling focus etc? Thank you.

A: DT-N24F would be considered the replacement for DT-V24G11Z, it compares very well to it. Both are designed with studio use in mind.

Q: 5. Does anyone know if the JVC DT-N17F ProHD Broadcast Monitor has a security lock slot similar to a computer Kensington lock slot? I'll be using this in a open office, and I worry about it walking. Thanks,Pat

A: I've taken a look at mine, and I don't see any such lock slot on the back or sides of the monitor.

A: No it will not. This monitor has just one HDMI input port.

A: Max resolution is 1280(H) x 1024(V).

Q: 8. does it have any smart qualities, or is everything driven by computer only ?

A: The Tote Vision LED-2156HDVB 21.5" Full HD LED Monitor BH #TOLE2156HDVB has no "smart" qualities and should not be confused with a oconsumer smart TV.

A: it has an external power supply.

I love how slim and light weight it is. It makes it more portable. With all the other equipment, things can get heavy so portability is a plus. Have not had any problems with it. It has HDMI and VGA connections. It has a button that can flip the image (or words). I use it as a teleprompter monitor. Seems very high quality at a very affordable price! 5

I have the original and take it on site and it was a bit of a pain to assemble so when this version came out I bought it. Nice upgrade the tilt is adjustable which it wasn't on the original and it goes together more quickly and easily. Not sure it's worth the price just to upgrade but I do have gear issues so I am more than happy with my purchase. 5

I've been booking a lot more business headshots over the last couple of years. It was time to change my setup. I like the look of the clamshell lighting scheme but using my circular reflector wasn't really practical, especially for bigger groups. There are a lot of curved reflectors on the market, the Westcott Eyelighter 3 being one of the more expensive options. I work on location so it had to be portable and quick to set up. The build quality and clever design make it worth the extra cost. I'm very happy with the product. 5
