Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this film work in the old Polaroid Captiva slr?

A: No, this is for the Instax polaroid camera.

Q: 2. Should the film be hand-checked in airport security? Thanks.

A: Yes. Instax films have an ISO rating of 800. This makes them much more sensitive to the x-rays used in airport security than other, less sensitive films. When preparing for a flight, take all of your sealed foil packets of film packs and place them in a clear zip-lock bag. When you are about to put your things through the x-ray scanner, politely ask a TSA agent if they will hand check your film. I've never been denied a request for a hand check for any film. If they question you though and they say that the x-ray shouldn't affect your film, politely remind them that the TSA's website informs travelers that they will hand check film of ISO 800 or higher. Remember to always be polite and respectful; it will make everything easier for you and them. NOTE: You can only request a hand check of packaged film; if you have a partially-used package of film inside your camera, you'll have to put the camera through the x-ray scanner. It's best to try to shoot the whole film pack before going through security so that you can put the camera through the scanner without film in it.

Q: 3. How many films are there

A: There are two packs with two cartridges of ten shots each (20 shots per pack x 2 = 40) PLUS another pack with one cartridge of ten shots for a TOTAL of 50 shots.

Q: 4. do these film have long expiration dates on them?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 5. Does it store the shot for later download (i.e. on an SD card), or is it only for immediate printing?

A: This exposes the image directly onto the instant film. This is an Analog system. There is no digital information processed or saved. There are no images saved to a memory card or the like.

Q: 6. Will this film fix the older Polaroid camera

A: This film is compatible for use with the Fujifilm instax mini series of cameras. It will not work with an Older Polaroid Camera. For help identifying the right film for your particular camera feel free to email us directly at photo@bhphotovideo.com.

A: FUJIFILM INSTAX Wide Black Instant Film is compatible with the following camera models: FUJIFILM INSTAX Wide 300 FUJIFILM Instax Wide 300 FUJIFILM instax 210 FUJIFILM instax WIDE 300 Lomography Lomo'Instant Wide Mint Camera Instantkon RF70

Q: 8. Are these films compatible with the Fujifilm Instax Mini Cameras?

A: Yes!

Q: 9. Is the lens on this camera glass or plastic?

A: The two elements in the Instax Mini 40's 60mm lens are made of plastic.

Q: 10. Can I use these film in the instax sp2? Thank you.
