Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How to calculate the angle of view parameters?

A: With a 1" Sensor this lens has the following angle of views: Vertical: 79.4° Horizontal: 96.8° Diagonal: 108.4°

Q: 2. will this work with a Nexstar 130 SLT?

A: Yes, it will

Q: 3. Will this lens fit on a Non-Reflex Bolex H16 Standard?

A: This will fit a Bolex H-16 that has a C-mount ss opposed to the similar models that offer a bayonet mount.

Q: 4. Can it fit on a celestron astromaster 114eq?

A: Yes this eyepiece can fit onto that scope since it takes a 1.25 Eyepiece opening.

Q: 5. Will this work on a c-mount Bolex H16?

A: yes it will work on a c-mount Bolex

Q: 6. what size sensor does this work with? i have a need for 2/3 or 1" - with this work with either of those

A: It will work with: Angle of View: 1/3": 41.0° x 31.0° 1/2": 53.9° x 41.0° 2/3": 71.6° x 55.5°

Q: 7. what is the minimum focus distance of this lens?

A: The Kowa C-Mount 6mm f/1.8-16 1" HC Series Fixed Lens Minimum Focus Distance From Camera Sensor: 0.32' / 0.10 m or 3.84".

Q: 8. Is this good for macro?

A: At 50mm the Tamron M118FM50 does offer some magnification to the lenses view.

Q: 9. Is this eyepiece compatible with the ETX-60AT telescope?

A: I have checked the Meade Manual available online. The telescope uses the standard 1.25 eyepieces. I would imagine that standard eyepieces are capable of achieving focus since they talk about buying extra eyepieces. With a 60mm 350mm focal length the 25mm and 9mm eyepieces supplied with the unit produce 14 and 39 magnifications and a 5mm would produce 70 magnifications. From my early experience with a longer focus refractor a practical absolute maximum magnification is twice the diameter of the front lens in millimetres (that is 120), providing the optics are good. What I am saying is, Don't expect to just keep adding magnification - the image will become very faint and fuzzy. Besides at such very high magnification strange things happen. The very small exit pupil projects floaters etc and granular 'things' in your eye directly onto your retina overlaying the 'real' image and becoming very annoying. The 5mm X-Cel has a nice wide 60 degree field, and at 70 magnification high power should prove a very satisfactory complement to the 25mm and 9mm if the telescope lens quality and optical system is good.Because the magnification is higher, the image will be fainter so it is more likely that you will use it for Moon, Planets, and Double Stars. Also it will require more care to locate objects. Still it should prove a good choice for higher magnification use.As you see from the illustration it will be bulkier and heavier but a price must be paid for the wide field and good eye relief.

Q: 10. Hello, I wonder if this lens is suitable for a BOLEX h16?

A: The Tamron C-Mount 6mm Fixed Focal Lens (BH # TA1186AMPF) may be used with your Paillard-Bolex H16 cine camera.
