Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the plate on this an Arca-Swiss? Wondering if the Zacuto C70 cage would mount on the Aktiv6.

A: no, it is not an Arca-Swiss. Zacuto bottom plate has a 1/4" and 3/8" connection which will work with the aktiv6 camera plate

Q: 2. Would this support a fully rigged FX9 (monitor, transmitter etc.) or will I need the Aktiv 8?

A: The Sony FX9 is 10.58 lb (with Viewfinder, Eyepiece, Grip Remote Control, BP-U35 battery, SELP28135G LENS, an XQD memory card, handle, mic holder). I think the Sachtler aktiv6 could work. But the Sachtler aktiv8 would be more stable and a better choice for this payload.

Q: 3. Looking to use this whilst riding a motorcycle with a Ronin and dslr. Is it possible to use this without your arms or will the whole thing just bounce around?

A: It will bounce around.

Q: 4. Can this be used without the spreader... as have locks for different heights based on wideness of spread?

A: Yes, you can use any tripod without a spreader.

Q: 5. Can you upgrade to the GS arms later?

A: You are in luck, yes, the original GS can be upgraded with ProArms at a later time.

Q: 6. to follow up on my last question, I am also 6'2 tall, if that makes a difference? thanks

A: This rig is adjustable for most any operator. One testimonial is from an operator on the TV series 24 He really liked the Ready Rig and he is 6'3 . a href= https://www.ready-rig.com/product/ready-rig-gs/ target= _blank https://www.ready-rig.com/product/ready-rig-gs//a

Q: 7. Will this work with the DJI ronin 2?

A: Yes, if you keep the overall load of the Ronin 2 with camera at or below 30 pounds. The Ronin 2, B&H # DJRONIN2, weighs about 12 pounds and has a 30 pound load capacity. If the total of the Ronin 2 and camera goes over the 30 pound mark, you will need to look in to the Pro Arm Model, B&H # RERIGGSA, which has a 40 pound load capacity.https://bhpho.to/2CSe72b

Q: 8. Will this work with the new DJI RS 3 Pro?

A: If you have a supporting device for the RS3 Pro, then it will be able to attach to the Ready Rig GS Stabilizer. You would need a Tilta Basic Ring Grip (or other similar support).

Q: 9. What are the pros and cons when comparing middle and ground spreaders? Thanks.

A: Mid level spreaders are fast, always clean and can be use on uneven terrain.. However, you cannot get as low as with a ground spreader. You might consider it a tad less stable. Ground spreaders get dirty and are not good on uneven terrain. They must be removed at that time. (No big deal) They are good on flat surfaces particularly floors with delicate finishes. They are a tad more stable. Conclusion: if you need speed and clean, use mid level. If you need maximum stability, and are on smooth floors. go ground.

Q: 10. Which version of the aktiv bowl connector currently comes with this system, V1 or V2?

A: The Sachtler aktiv8 flowtech75 GS Tripod System comes with the V2 version of the aktiv bowl connector.
