A: Based on the time and date you posted this question, there was a lot of smoke in the atmosphere due to the forest fires in the west. Chances are that smoke contributed to the blur. I would recommend testing the lens again on a clear night (although the moon did look really cool last night). But also the Sigma Dock will allow you to calibrate the focus with your lens as well as update the lens firmware and change the focus settings.

We have not received any information from Sigma regarding a USB dock that will update other lens firmware, but should this product become available, we will notify customers on our website.
