Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have the Sigma 150-600mm lens for Nikon. I've taken pictures of the moon before that were tack sharp. Now tonight, I put the lens on, focus locked in on camera, take the shot on a tripod, and self timer, and images are blurry, not in focus at all. Will this dock help?

A: Based on the time and date you posted this question, there was a lot of smoke in the atmosphere due to the forest fires in the west. Chances are that smoke contributed to the blur. I would recommend testing the lens again on a clear night (although the moon did look really cool last night). But also the Sigma Dock will allow you to calibrate the focus with your lens as well as update the lens firmware and change the focus settings.

Q: 2. I have a combination of Canon EF and Sony E-mount Sigma lenses. Would the E-mount dock work with an adapted EF-mount Sigma lens? Or do I need two different docks?

A: No. Please review the following link on detailed lens compatible with the sigma docking station. https://bit.ly/3ug0yFZ

Q: 3. Would it work with the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens? is this lens updatable?

A: No, the 17-50mm is not compatible with the dock.

Q: 4. Why is there no Sony E mount Dock?

A: Sigma has not manufactured a Sony E mount dock yet.

Q: 5. Is this dock compatible with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM for Nikon?

Q: 6. What is the difference between the PRO model and the regular model?

A: The Neewer NW-ETZ Pro Autofocus Adapter for FE/E-Mount Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Camera is different from the standard version in that this Pro version features a rubber outer ring, improving its water and dust resistance.

Q: 7. I understand this doesn't work with all sigma lenses and only the art, contemp, and sport lenses. However, is it able to check and update firmware for the 8-16mm, or the 17-50mm? And if not, will Sigma make a USB dock that will update lens' firmware?

A: Unfortunately, the Sigma USB Dock for Nikon Lenses is only compatible with the Art 35mm f/1.4, Contemporary 17-70mm f/2.8-4 OS and non OS HSM, and Sports 120-300mm f/2.8 lenses. We have not received any information from Sigma regarding a USB dock that will update other lens firmware, but should this product become available, we will notify customers on our website.

Q: 8. Does this work with the Sigma 150-500 lens

A: This dock is only compatible with the Sigma Art, Contemporary, and Sports line lenses featuring a Nikon F lens mount. It is not compatible with theSigma 150-500 lens( B&H # SI150500N Mfr # 737306)

Q: 9. Does this dock work with Macs?

A: Yes it does. This is compatible with both Mac and PC computers.

Q: 10. Is the dock compatible with the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens for Nikon AF Cameras?

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. The USB Dock for Nikon Lenses is not compatible with the 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM. The USB Dock can only be used with the Sigma Global Vision lenses. The Art, Sport, and Contemporary lines are only compatible with the USB Dock except for DN lenses.
