Once you place the document on the flatbed or document feeder, you can then open the Canon IJ Scan Utility and select Auto Scan from the options. The document will be scanned. It is so clean looking and fits nicely into a small space. The setup was seamless and easy via wifi and also creating my account with HP. The printer is great for home use. I would not recommend for business use. However, this is a budget printer that has all the essentials you would need. It prints quick whether in black or color. It has e-printing and makes printing anywhere around the house very easy. Although I am giving this printer 5 stars, I didn't like the tiny screen. 5

The set-up was easy and intuitive, I had no issue connecting it to my home Wi-Fi or getting it going. My computer quickly picked up the new printer and was able to print without any fuss. I've found that over the last month there's been no noticeable depreciation of the ink despite regular color/bw use and the print quality is exceptional.
