Q: 1. I am looking for an inexpensive option for binaural recording and these mics look like just the thing. I just need to know, does each mic have two channels (ie, it's own l and r channel) or do each mic function as one channel each when recorded on a dslr?

A: Each mic goes to a difference channel and is separate. However, I don't recommend these for binaural recording, which requires greater sensitivity to be successful. These are very cheap mics and the battery system is clunky. I wish this system was executed in a better quality system but unfortunately it is not. There are better choices for binaural recording.

Q: 2. Would these Lavs work with this Wireless Pro transmitters from Rode?

A: Yes, the transmitter in the Rode Wireless Pro provides enough mic plugin power for direct compatibility with the RODE RODELink Lav Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone.

Q: 3. how long are cables ? 13.5 ? 10 between mics ?? people should be one on the other NO ?

A: HelloHelloFrom the 1/8 plug you have 4'-0 to a molded stop on the cable , from the stop to the microphone each cable is 10'-0 . So I the perfect world you can separate the microphones 20' but you would only be 4' off the plain. I have a 10' headphone extension cable works great! Gives me 14' to the molded stop. CheersMike

Q: 4. My friend gave me his but neither him or I know if it has to have a specific program to work, does it? And can I just plug it in and will it work for iPhone 6plus voice memo?

A: The Lavalier requires a Micon connector to plug into any device. The correct Micon for smartphone use is the Micon 11. Once plugged in, it will become the default audio input device for the iPhone and will work with any recording app.

Q: 5. I just received this mic and i thought I was two separate mics. they are both on the same cable. how are they used?

A: They are designed to be used simultaneously - for example, it is a handy solution for recording two people in an interview setting.

Q: 6. Does it requieres 48V phantom power?

A: No 48v will damage mic only 1.5 to 5volts on the transmitter to power mic, if you only have Phantom Power 48volts, get a lavaier with an XLR connection instead.

Q: 7. is this mic compatible with the airline series?

A: Yes it is. The Samson Airline series accepts a TA3F connector.
