Q: 1. Can you please confirm if Nissin i60a to Fujifilm is already activing the Hight Speed on the Fujifilm cameras? My question, is because i have a i60a and don't active hight SPEED in my Fuji X-T2 and X-Pro2. I read that Nissin is updating the i60a firmware already sold so they can activate the function on Fujifilm cameras. The Flash that you are selling are already updated and therefore with Hight SPEED being activated on Fujifilm cameras ? I want to buy two Flash i60a with you and I need to make sure that this time the models that I will receive will be running Hight speed sync.

A: Nissin has said they will update customers when an update has been created and finalized for their products.

Q: 2. Missing air commander

A: If you purchased a product from B&H that is missing a component please contact Customer Service for further assistance. You can call them up at 800-221-5743 or you can email them at cs@bhphoto.com

Q: 3. I have the Fuji X-T2 on pre-order and I own the X-T1 and X-T10. Will the i60 be capable of high speed sync in TTL mode on any of these three cameras?

A: No, it will not work in High speed sync on any Fujifilm camera at the moment in manual or TTL.

Q: 4. Does it work on bounce head hss for Sony a6000?

A: No, The HSS does not work when the head is tilted up. Nissin follows the same protocols as do the Original Sony Flashes, which also will not perform HSS when the head is tilted. Hope that helps.

Q: 5. Can i use this flash on hot shoe of Sony 7ARII to shot high speed sync ?

A: Yes. The HSS will be activated from the flash in this configuration.

Q: 6. How does one set rear-curtain sync on this? Manual does not explain

A: The rear Curtain sync. must be set on the camera. Go to the flash menu on your Sony Camera and there you will find a setting for rear, or 2nd curtain sync.

Q: 7. Bought a Nissin i60A flash and Nissin Air 1 Commander in May, 2017 to use with my Fuji X-Pro2. Initially I could not get the HSS to work. Can I use them for HSS now (9/9/2017)? If so, what firmware should I check?

A: I think you have to send flash into company and they add firmware for you. Call their customer support. I haven't done it yet.

Q: 8. Hi. Why I can't shoot the Missing i60a with a higher shutter speed when I place the flash upwards? I want to increase my shutter speed but it only lets me go up to 1/250 - when I activate HSS it works but turns off if I point the Nissin i60a upwards. Please help?

A: The Sony camera does not allow High Speed Sync, HSS, to be used when the flash head is in a bounce position. Therefore, HSS is only available when the flash head is in the 90-degree position. Why? HSS significantly reduces the power output of the flash, which means under most conditions there wouldn't be enough light output from the flash to light your subject after bouncing it off a wall or ceiling.

Q: 9. I have the Nissan i40 for Fuji. My longest lens is the Fuji 50mm f2. With the exception of availability of the Air 1 and an external power supply, is the i60A and better?

A: The i60a will give you more power than the i40. Guide number of 60 vs. a guide number of 40. It has some additional features which give you more control as well. If you plan on doing off camera wok, then the i60A has a built in receiver for use with the Air 1 Commander. The i40 does not have this feature.

Q: 10. how do you activate HSS on camera flash with a Sony A7III?

A: HSS is activated on the flash directly.
