  • Unlike hard plastic mounts, The Windbubble PRO's soft rubber mount absorbs shocks and stops vibrations transferring to your mic's capsule.
  • In addition, the rubber mount has a slight, conical shape inside, which prevents you to push your microphone too far into the windshield. This is very important to ensure that your microphone has a "bubble" of dead-air around the capsule for optimal wind protection and audio clarity.
  • This means that your mic will consistently stay in the best possible position inside the windshield, making it possible to engineer a smaller, overall profile for the Windbubble PRO without compromising on the efficacy of the wind protection.

  • The rubber mount holds the furry windshield firmly in place on your mic, making sure it doesn't slip off mid-shoot.

  • The Windbubble PRO utilizes the company's multi-pile faux fur specially designed with varying lengths of fur to help gradually slow down the wind before reaching the mic.
  • The base of the fur has a higher density of shorter hairs and an acoustically transparent backing material for maximum frequency transparency.
  • The mic's capsule is kept in a calm bubble of wind protection and allowed to perform at its best.
  • The Bubblebee fur is less shiny than others to better blend with skin, clothes, and other surrounding materials.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this clip work with the sony ECM V1BMP? I have the older model sony uwp V1 lav system.

A: No the clip from this kit does not fit the ECM V1BMP

Q: 2. Would this mic work for recording church choir singing concerts? I'm using a Nikon D850. Or would a Rode stereo mic be better suited?

A: The Rode VideoMic Pro would work for recording a church choir, but a stereo mic like the Rode Stereo VideoMic On-Camera Microphone (B&H # ROSVM) could give you a more spacious sound.

Q: 3. Will this work with the FZ300 Panasonic ?

A: Hello Clarissa, yes, this should work just fine together. It appears the FZ300 has an external microphone input, and the Rode VideoMic Pro has its own battery, therefore it won't need power from the camera.

Q: 4. Is this mic compatible with the sony a7iii?/and will it plug in directly?

A: Yes the Rode VideoMic Pro Plus will mount on your camera shoe and plug directly into the 3.5mm mic input in your Sony Alpha a7 III.

Q: 5. Will this fit a Sennheiser MZH 3042?

A: The microphone capsules (ME-34, 35 and 36) are larger than 1/4" so this foam will not fit. This will fit: Sennheiser MZW34 Velour Windscreen for ME34 and ME35 Microphones B&H # SEMZW34: https://bhpho.to/36yMABp

Q: 6. Will this lavalier clip work for Lectrosonics UCR411a/UM400a? Thanks

A: It depends on which microphone you are using. This clip can accommodate wires between .06 - .09" (1.5 - 2.2mm) in diameter, and the windscreens are for mics 1/4" in diameter.

Q: 7. Will this work on a Nikon D90 or 750

A: The Nikon D90 does not have a mic input. However the D750 does, you will be able to use this microphone with the Nikon D750.

Q: 8. I have a RODE VideoMic (not Pro) that I mount on my camera's hot shoe. I find when I look through the viewfinder that the rear of the microphone assembly is pushing against my forehead. It's not comfortable, it defeats the damping effect of the mount, and I can't get my eye fully up to the viewfinder. Is the clearance the same on the Pro? Any suggestions on how to mount the mic further forward to avoid this problem?

A: You could simply add a small extention to the camera shoe to move the mic forward a bit. . https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/752863-REG/Vello_SE_10_SE_10_Hot_Shoe_Extension.html

Q: 9. I know for the fact that this mic uses A9 battery. is there anyway I can get rechargeable A9 battery for my mic ?thanks

A: The Rode VideoMic Pro with Rycote Lyre shockmount uses a 9V battery for power. You may use a rechargeable 9V battery which are available for sale here: https://bhpho.to/2EMFXhr

Q: 10. How can I connect this microphone to the DJI Osmo Mobile 2? Can I connect with an O-Ring Hot Shoe?

A: Hello Marcelo, as far as connecting the VideoMic Pro to the phone, you would need to adapt to TRRS for your phone. The Rode SC4 works perfectly for this. http://www.rode.com/accessories/sc4. I, unfortunately, cannot answer for the Osmo Mobile 2 or the O-Ring Hot Shoe. However, I don't see any reason they shouldn't work.
