Q: 1. AtomOS makes a much more expensive cable ATOM4K60C5. Can you detail the differences? For instance, this cable appears to be compatible with the GH5, but only for 4K @ 30 fps. It appears the more expensive camera is required for recording 60 fps.

A: ATOMOS support told me this: The main difference is the v1.4 tops out at 4k 30p...the newer cable is I believe a v2.0a and will handle HDR, 4K 60p. If you aren't doing HDR or 4K 60p the less expensive cable will work... My problem turned out to be the write speed of the disk, not the cable.

Q: 2. Does this work with HDMI type C that is on 5D mk 4?

A: It's a full sized HDMI cable to full sized HDMI cable, so no.

Q: 3. Is this cable compatible with a Nikon D7000 to HTMI input on the back of an LG TV?

A: For many cameras and monitors, the Atomos Coiled Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable (BH #ATATOMCAB008 • MFR #ATOMCAB008) does support 4k 60fps. For some higher bit rate cameras, this cable would not support 4k 60fps and we would recommend going with an Atomos AtomFLEX Coiled Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable (BH #ATOM4K60C3 • MFR #ATOM4K60C3).

Q: 5. Does this cable support 4k 30fps vlog without dropping frames?

A: Hello David R, this cable will be able to do 4k30 but it will not be able to do 4k60. our HDMI 2.0 cable will be able to do the 4k60 frame rates.

A: This does NOT work for me in 4K 60fps on a Ninja V and Sony FX3.

I use this cable between a Nikon d500 and a FeelWorld 7" monitor and it works great. �I use a Manfrotto Israeli arm to mount the monitor and the length of this cable (and its being coiled) works perfectly. This cable also obviates the need to have a bundle of HDMI cable that is the consequence of even the relatively short 3' HDMI cable that came w/ the monitor.. Would buy again.. 5

This is the perfect cable to connect a DSLR(5D MarkIII) with mini HDMI to Monitor(Blackmagic Video Assist) with full HDMI, in case you are using a gimbal plus gimbal handle/mounting system. 5

Anyone with a DSLR who wants/needs to get an HDMI output to an Atomos Recorder needs this,,, If you don't want to deal with WAYToo Too long cables that need locking devices which are a royal pain and even more outragegiously priced. Ya can't get this short/coiled a cable anywhere else (Ask me how I know!) Order it when you get your recorder or other monitor or whatever is or needs to be right next to or attached to your camera. Normally Atomos gives you whatever you need but they use this as a gotcha for some extra bux. 5

The best thing about the coiled HDMI cable is that you don't have any loose, extra wire all over the place, getting in the way of your camera controls. The build quality is good, nice sturdy casing and the connections are strong. Recommended over a normal HMDI cable all day. 5

Works well with my Blackmagic 4K and my Nikon D810. Having a coiled cable makes it harder for the cable to be in the way, it fits the Camera HDMI port very tight. 5
