Q: 1. For 35mm loading, does this device have something that flattens the film before/as it scans? My film strips not only curl at the end which is no biggy but they bow like a tunnel all the way down which is my current issue and wondering if this machine will flatten before scanning so it is all in focus. Thank you in advance.

A: I believe you are talking about 35mm negatives, right? Assuming this is true, the negative holder that the negative strip is put into before putting it into the machine is kind if like a coin slide with a big window in the middle. The strip is contained by the sides of and positioned by the holder but the window allows the light to shoot thru the negative and digitize the photo. The holder does keep the negative somewhat flat but somehow I don't know how your negatives ever got curled up or bowed in the first place. That's beside the point, though. This negative holder will help but it does not clamp the negative down to make it flat. The negative strip, when it is in the holder, must have some looseness to allow you to slide the negative through the holder once it is in the machine in order to digitize more than one photo from that negative strip. So yes, it helps flatten it but any severe bowing or cupping will not be corrected by the holder. You would need to find a way to gently, over time, flatten the negative strips that are badly bowed/cupped. I'd use pressure by putting each one in the middle of separate pages of a real heavy book for a while and pile weight on top of it. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. Will the wolverine Data F2D Titan Digital converter scan 120 or 220 medium format film?

A: No.

Q: 3. Does it have a dust/spec removal feature?

A: The machine itself does allow for basic changes such as colour and contrast. The reason I highly recommend this product is its ability to quickly digitise and its screen size. I correct later through photoshop.

Q: 4. Will the Wolverine F2D Titan converter's slide holder take glass or plastic mounted 35mm slides? (Glass and plastic mounts are generally slightly thicker than paper mounts.)

A: Paper or Plastic mounted slides would fit, glass slides would be too thick.

Q: 5. Is this a scanner or simply a digital camera that takes a picture of a picture?

A: It takes pictures and then uploads them to your computer via USB. Quality is good and adjustable altho we use PS for enhancement. It's way faster than our HP G4020- 16. As fast as you can feed'em ya scan'em! We love it for the price. No complaints from customers yet!!

Q: 6. Hello,Does this Raynox (HDP-2800ES) function ON DSLR's similarly to how the Raynox DCR-150 would function on a DSLR?Most sites say it is only meant for camcorders.Thank you very much.N.

A: This would work on SLR lenses that have either a 37 or 43mm filter size, but could interfere with AF performance. They are designed for use with camcorders.

Q: 7. Does the Wolverine Titan capture sound when scanning Super 8 film with a sound strip?

A: No, this would not capture the sound (audio) from the film.

Q: 8. Will this filter fit the Sony (or Minolta) A-Mount 500mm F/8 reflex lens?

A: No, this Sony Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter for Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens is not compatible with the Sony A 500mm f/8 Reflex Lens.

Q: 9. Is it compatible with Sony E mount lens 100-400mm

A: No, the 100-400mm does not use a rear drop in filter.

Q: 10. Can the actual circular filter be removed and replaced with another filter ?

A: No, the filter in the Sony Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter for Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens cannot be removed and replaced.
