Listen the way you like with four bespoke digital filters and two analog processing modes, each tailored to enhance your enjoyment across different music genres.

  • Bit-Perfect: Delivers natural tones, ideal for all genres.
  • GTO: Enhances sound details and density, particularly suited for Vocal tracks.
  • Minimum Phase: Produces a warmer sound, blending characteristics of Bit-Perfect and Standard, perfect for Soul and Jazz.
  • Standard: Offers a tighter sound with controlled highs, perfect for Pop music and Movie OST.

Experience chest-thumping bass with XBass+ and immerse yourself in a spacious sound field with XSpace.

The DAC section of the GO bar Kensei uses a powerful 16-core XMOS microcontroller to process the audio data received at the USB input. The in-house team programmed the XMOS firmware to optimize sound quality and ensure a perfect partnership with the 32-bit Cirrus Logic DAC chipset. A customized digital filter minimizes pre-echoes and ringing artefacts. The GMT (Global Master Timing) precision clock system ensures ultralow jitter.

Supports higher-than-streaming audio formats:

  • PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz ¿
  • Native DSD playback up to DSD256¿
  • 2x DXD¿
  • Full MQA decoding

  • The GO Bar Kensei is crafted with Japanese stainless steel for maximum rigidity.
  • USB-C connectivity ensures plug-and-play convenience, allowing for hassle-free use.
  • The GO Bar Kensei offers a maximum output power of up to 477mW, which is about 10 times more powerful than an iPhone 15.
  • It incorporates two power tuning technologies: iEMatch for high-sensitivity IEMs, and Turbo mode for power-hungry headphones. This allows it to easily drive a wide range of premium earphones and headphones.

  • K2HD processing revives rich, natural harmonics into emotionally flat and lifeless digital recordings.
  • The unparalleled originality of K2HD lies in its advanced high-frequency extension, enabling the restoration of natural harmonics and overtones beyond 22 kHz, delivering audio quality that is close to the original master.

  • The XMOS 16-Core chip processes the audio data received via the USB digital input.
  • This new low-latency XMOS microcontroller has greatly enhanced processing power. Compared to the current generation of 8-core chips, this new 16-core IC delivers double the clock speed (2000MIPS) and four times the memory (512KB), as well as the latest SuperSpeed USB standard.
  • iFi’s in-house digital development team has programmed the XMOS firmware to optimize sound quality and ensure a perfect partnership with the 32-bit Cirrus Logic DAC chipset used in the GO bar.

  • MQA delivers the sound of the original master recording. The master MQA file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download. The GO bar adopts MQA technology to receive and decode MQA audio and provide master-level sound.

Balanced Circuitry

  • The GO bar’s analog circuitry features a balanced design with a symmetrical twin-channel output stage.
  • This topology reduces noise and crosstalk in the signal path by fully separating the left and right channels.

GMT Clocking

  • Extensive jitter-eradication technologies are applied to the digital stage, including iFi's GMT (Global Master Timing) femto-precision clock and intelligent memory buffer. This represents a total out-of-the-box systematic digital solution that solves jitter once and for all.

TDK

  • TDK C0G (Class 1 ceramic) capacitors offer high stability and low losses for resonant circuit applications.
  • Getting ever closer to the theoretical ideal of pure, frequency-constant capacitance, these capacitors reduce capacitor-induced distortion to vanishingly low levels.

Panasonic

  • Panasonic OS-CON caps totaling 5410 µF give very low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) and excellent noise-reduction capability and frequency-response characteristics. In addition, OS-CONs have a long-life span and their ESR changes little even at low temperatures, since the electrolyte is solid.

Tantalum

  • Tantalum capacitors are another example of the top-notch components we prefer. These polarized electrolytic capacitors have superior frequency and stability characteristics, giving them a superhigh volumetric efficiency.

muRata

  • Murata control-type low-ESR high-Q multilayer capacitors. The ESR control aspect of the Murata is something special. Their noise suppression abilities are impressive.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will it fit onto the top of a macbook air?

A: Yes, it fits well, although it can take a little bit of balancing the screen so the mic's weight doesn't drag it back. But I just did an interview with my Air at a remote location the other day and it all worked fine.

Q: 2. How long is cord?

A: The included USB cable is 10 feet long

Q: 3. I'm in university and I want to get a mic to attach to my laptop to record class lectures discreetly. There will be some room noise. Is this a good mic for my purpose?

A: I am handicapped with multiple sclerosis and cannot use a keyboard. I use the Samson Go Mic along with Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition and the mic works wonderfully. I just recorded my voice 20 feet from my microphone at a moderate volume and the microphone picked up my voice at a level you would be happy with.I would definitely recommend this microphone.

Q: 4. Are the outputs assignable? Can I send input 1&2 to Lineout-1 and input 3&4 to Lineout-2?

A: No, the outputs on the Zoom U-44 Portable 4x4 USB Handy Audio/MIDI Interface are not assignable.

Q: 5. Good Day, can I simultaneous record 4 channel?

A: The only way to use 4 channels at the same time with this interface is to add the adapter in the link bellow https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/981648-REG/zoom_exh_6_dual_xlr_trs_input_capsule.html

Q: 6. Will the output ports (USB and Mic) power speakers with USB power and TRS plug?

A: This microphone will not power speakers or any other USB device.

Q: 7. Can i work with 5.1 sound files conecting this interface to my home theater receiver via optical I/O?

A: That ZoomU-44 is an audio interface used with a computer to turn the analog signal into a digital signal. It is used for recording purposes. Unfortunately it will not work with your 5,1 system.

Q: 8. Should we assume this will not work with the millions of chromebooks out there, since it is not mentioned?

A: It's USB and doesn't require a separate driver, so it should work in basic mode. I doubt if you would be able to use any of the advanced configuration options. The installation instructions are for Windows XP, if that's any indication of whether it's Chromebook-compatible.

Q: 9. Does this come with any software, such as Samson Sound Deck?

A: No this microphone does not come with any software.

Q: 10. I see that there's a "mix" control on the fron. Will this allow me to produce a mono mix of two microphones to both the USB feed and the line out to feed a single PA speaker?

A: The "Mix" control on the front of the PreSonus AudioBox GO Ultracompact 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface allows the user to blend of the zero-latency live input signal and the return signal from your computer as desired.
