Create strikingly bright white strobe flashes, vibrant color washes, and animated eye-candy chase effects with the American DJ Jolt Bar FX2, an RGB and cool white blinder, wash, and strobe fixture well suited for concert productions, festival stages, and rental houses as well as for permanent installation in large nightclubs

The fixture features a central strip of 112 x 5W cool white SMD LEDs, surrounded on both sides by a total of 448 x 0.5W RGB color mixing SMD LEDs. This allows the same fixture to generate intense white strobing as well as colored washes and strobe effects. Both types of LED are grouped into independently controllable zones (32 color and 16 white), which means the unit can also be used to generate strobe chases and other eye candy effects. The rear panel offers 5-pin DMX I/O with locking power input and output for daisy-chaining data and power to several fixtures. The American DJ Jolt Bar FX2 includes two Omega brackets, a locking power cord, and a frost filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any way to link this to a Good X2TN?

A: No ! must use Westcott transmiter

Q: 2. Is high speed sync supported when using a trigger other than the Wescott, like the canon ST-E3-RT?

A: Yes it does HSS with the E3-RT

Q: 3. I have a FJ80 and a FJ X2M. I'm thinking about adding more strobes for a wedding reception. I can add 1 or 2 more FJ80s and trigger them by either the FJX2M or the FJ80. If I use 2 FJ 200s for wedding reception dance scenes,is this a bit overkill ? I want a fast recycling flash so that I won't have to worry about overheating.

A: You can add more units to the system. The quantity you use will be dependent on style and location.

Q: 4. How does this mount to a microphone stand ? Pics would be nice. Thanks.

A: The Grace Design SB-BLRA comes with a 5/8 -27 thread stand mount adapter for use with a mic stand.

Q: 5. What is the 2.5mm jack for?

A: The 2.5mm jack on the Syrp Genie II Linear is intended for use with shutter release cables, for time lapse photography, with compatible models. https://bhpho.to/41nTSpn

Q: 6. What are the flash durations at each power level?

A: Westcott does not list the flash duration of the Westcott FJ200 Strobe at all power settings. They only list the maximum and minimum flash duration, showing the t0.1 flash duration measurement (when the light is emitting 90% of total light) in normal mode is 1/260 second at full power and 1/2600 second at minimum power, and in freeze mode, the flash duration at minimum output is 1/7000 second. At the t0.5 measurement (when the light is emitting 50% of total light), at normal mode, the flash duration would be 1/800 second at full power and 1/8000 second at minimum output power, while at freeze mode, the duration at minimum output would be 1/20,000 second. For flash duration measurement at other output settings, you would have to contact Westcott directly by e-mailing them at sales@fjwestcott.com or by calling them toll-free at 1-800-886-1689 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm ET.

Q: 7. What's the life of the "unreplaceable" Flashtube on the FJ200? (asking 10/6/21)

A: The flashtube can be replaced by Westcott directly. They state that the life expectancy is about 10,000 flashes.

Q: 8. How long will this light continuously function properly without overheating when indoors (since there is not fan)?

A: The FJ200 Strobe is designed with passive cooling that allows the unit to perform without shutting down from overheating, no matter the environment.

Q: 9. Can this be used while plugged in to power to charge?

A: Yes it can.

Q: 10. Somebody asked if this uses a Bowens mount and someone replied yes. But I watched an FStoppers video for this light and Lee said it uses a smaller proprietary mount. This looks very similar to the new Godox AD300 Pro which uses a proprietary Godox mount. So which mount is this light actually using? Could it be the same as the AD300 Pro?

A: Yes you are right it is not a Bowens mount, they have not announced yet the size of the mount.
