The Shure QLXD2/B87A is a digital handheld wireless microphone transmitter compatible with QLX-D receivers. It comes equipped with the Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule designed to withstand extreme sound pressure levels, while still delivering a remarkably smooth frequency response for vocal performers and presenters. The capsule features a supercardioid polar pattern that offers excellent rejection of off-axis background noise, helping to reduce feedback.

The QLXD2/B87A operates on a 64 MHz UHF tuning range with 2560 selectable frequencies available. It provides up to 9 hours of operation on two AA batteries, with a transmission range up to 330' and a selectable 1/10mW RF power output.

With a rugged, yet lightweight aluminum housing, the QLXD2/B87A transmitter delivers pristine audio quality and RF performance, as well as AES 256-bit encryption for secure transmission and advanced rechargeability options. It is well suited for sound reinforcement applications in medium-sized venues and houses of worship as well as A/V installations in conference, educational, and corporate facilities.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can two of these units be used together to provide 8 microphones?

A: Yes, you can actually use up to three of the Samson Stage 412 Frequency-Agile Quad-Channel Handheld VHF Wireless Systems (173 to 198 MHz) simultaneously for up to 12 wireless microphones.

Q: 2. Can the VocoPro UDH-CHOIR-4 handheld system be used at the same time as the VocoPro UDH-DUAL-B4 bodypack system without frequency interference?

A: We actually use both model in my church and we have never experienced any interference. Both model work on UHF frequency and hardly experience any interference.

Q: 3. How many of these will work together - for example, for a stage musical?

A: Only one. It's a single user system.

Q: 4. I have 2 sure wireless mics now and I am looking for 4 more will they hook up to a peavey 20 sound board with four different channels ?

A: If I am understanding your question, the UDH-CHOIR-4 Hybrid system should work well with your Shure mics, and will easily connect to four separate channels of your Peavey PV-20, either via XLR or 1/4 cables. The VocoPro system operates on the 900Mhz band, and I am not aware of any Shure mics operating in this frequency range. I am using these units in conjunction with several Audio-Technica units I have. All units work well together. Hope this helps!

Q: 5. Does this transmitter have a Shure-compatible microphone input?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. Unfortunately, this product does not. Our transmitter has a P3 connection. If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James

Q: 6. I have Behringer 500W PPA system. The system has 2 XLR inputs and 1 1/4 input. I need to use 5-6 Mics at a time on few occasions, I have 2 XLR cables and microphones. I am not sure if I have to connect both units that come with this system to be able to use all 4 mics?

A: This system is essentially two dual-channel receivers. The XLR outputs are for each of the channels. so you would need 4 xlr cables. The 1/4" outputs are the two channels combined. So, if you are short on inputs on your mixer, use the 1/4" outs, but you will have to adjust each individual mic volume on the receivers. If you have 4 mic inputs open on your board, use 4 xlr cables (one for each channel), and you will be able to adjust each mic's volume independently on your mixer.

Q: 7. I know these have a 3.5 mm jack but has anyone had any experience with using these for making wireless PA systems with speakers?

A: The Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System with SE425-CL Earphones would not be recommended for use with speakers, as the beltpack's output impedance is intended for connection to headphones, not a standard line input. A system like B&H # ALSTLTHMK2X would be recommended instead.

Q: 8. Does this work with the Sony a7III?

A: Yes, the Sony UWP-D22 Camera-Mount Wireless Cardioid Handheld Microphone System is compatible for use with the Sony a7 III Mirrorless Camera when the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter for UWP-D Series (BH #SOSMADP5) is also implemented to adapt the system's receiver to the camera's Multi Interface Shoe.

Q: 9. is vocopro offering a trade-in deal for the soon to be useless 600 Mhz wireless systems for a new system in the 900 MHz bands?

A: VocoPro has not announced a trade-in program. Please contact VocoPro directly:TOLL FREE: 800-678-5348 TEL: 909-593-8893FAX: 909-593-8890HOURS: 9:00am to 4:00pm1728 Curtiss CourtLa Verne, CA 91750

Q: 10. It could be used to connect my QSC k12.2 speakers to the QSC Touchmix 8 mixer for wireless use.?

A: Yes the Sennheiser XSW-D is directly compatible with the QSC Toycmix 8 and the QSC K12.2.
