Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this handle line level input? (eg. Recording out of a mixing console)

A: Yes

Q: 2. Is the internal battery removable? Can I purchase extra battery for more run time?

A: Hi Tim - the EKP Receiver for our AVX system has removable lithium-ion batteries that are easily swapped. The battery model number for the EKP Receiver is BA 20 - it has a 4hr run time and can be recharged to 30% in 15 minutes, 60% in 30 minutes, 75% in 40 minutes and to full capacity in 75 minutes. Additionally, the battery can charge while in operation, so you can use a power bank and a USB micro cable to extend the operating time.

Q: 3. Can this be charged/powered by a regulated Dtap to microUSB cable (5v) like this one? GyroVu D-Tap to Micro-USB Regulated Adapter Cable (30")

A: Yes, that particular Dtap cable should work for charging the BA20 battery.

Q: 4. Can this work on my Nikon 910 flash?

A: Per Quantum website, Turbo SC power pack with CKE long coiled cable may be used with Nikon SB910 .

Q: 5. Does this convert unbalanced TRS to balanced XLR?

A: TS connection mics are usually only compatible with the mic transmitters or mic inputs that they are made for specific compatibility with.

Q: 6. Can someone describe what is connected to each 1/8 in. connection (tip. ring, sleeve) in terms of signal, power, and ground?

A: A specific TRS input wiring schematic is not available for the Deity Microphones D-XLR 3.5mm to XLR Adapter with Phantom to Plug-In Power Conversion, however we can confirm that the D-XLR is compatible with microphones using the 3.5mm "Sennheiser" wiring configuration for compatibility. This adapter is not compatible with microphones wired for compatibility with Sony input connections.

Q: 7. Will this work with Rode Reporter Omnidirectional Handheld Interview Microphone or can you suggest a wireless solution for this mic?

A: The Rode Reporter is a dynamic XLR microphone. A wireless system like this would be a good option to use with it: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1187383-REG/rode_news_shooter_newsshooter_kit_digital_wireless.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 8. Hello, Tascam shows this item not available in the U.S on their site does this effect you?

Q: 9. Is it possible to pair 3 recievers to one transmitter. In other words, if the talent wear the transmitter, can it transmit his audio to 3 cameras?

A: Unfortunately it cannot. Each transmitter can only be paired with one receiver at a time. If your cameras are stationary, you could connect the AVX receiver to an audio mixer and split the output signal to your 3 cameras via cables.

Q: 10. Is the turbo SC Slim unit compatible with the Nikon SB-910?

A: YEP! I use it for the SB 910 & SB 800 - Just make sure to get the right cable
