Use Arri Bayonet mount lenses with your Micro Four thirds mount camera using the MTF Services Ltd. Arri Bayonet to Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter. The body of the adapter is made from aluminum for its balance between strength and weight, and it is anodized for scratch and corrosion resistance. The stainless steel Micro Four Thirds mount provides an extremely hard and wear resistant mating surface for precision mounting on your camera.

The adapter is mechanical only and does not contain any optics, so it will not magnify your image. If you wish to cover a Four Thirds size sensor you will need to use a 35mm format lens.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will adaptor fit on red cam and not hit sensor?

A: no this adapter will not work on red cameras

Q: 2. Can I uses this adapter on FX 6 full frame sensor with out using x2 on the B4 lens?

A: With adapters you are going to want to work with B4 lenses that have a 2x extender. The MTF Services Ltd B4 2/3" to Sony E-Mount Lens Adapter Package can only be used on B4 2/3" lenses with built in 2X extender engaged. Also, HD B4 lenses are recommended.

Q: 3. Is this the correct adaptor to use with a Panasonic HXP-370 camera to adapt to the Fuji lens broadcast-hd-sd/hdtv lenses 2/-3 eng/x-series/xa20sx85-berm? We would like to purchase both the lens and adaptor but would like to be certain that the adaptor is the correct type.I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks. Jelsbet

A: Sorry for the delay. This went through several stops while we were on tour. We bought this adapter to be able to use an older, longer throw lens on a newer hi def camera. It was a canon lens from a Sony camera replacing a fuji lens on a JVC camera. I don't know your cameras or lens but this definitely worked for us.

Q: 4. Is there a list of specific PL lenses with which this will work? Or, moreover, with which it will NOT work?

A: There is no specific list of lenses that this adapter works with. However, it should work well with any PL-mounted 35mm format lens.

Q: 5. With the built-in 2x extender engaged, will it cover a S35 sensor (Alexa)?

A: Yes it will, this covers a Super 35mm with a lens that has a 2x extender engaged.

Q: 6. Will this work on my Blackmagic Ursa 4k?What if my lens does not have 2x extender?

A: Hi Ricardo, if your black magic as PL mount you sould be able to mount B4 Lens but need to use extender on it only on 2K.Need to have extender on B4 Lens if not you will have vignette. Cheers.Pascal.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Sony PMW-F5?

A: Should work:The MTF Services Ltd B4 2/3 to Arri PL Adapter allows the use of B4 lenses on PL mounted cameras.Note: Can only be used on B4 2/3 lenses with built-in 2x extender engaged, HD lenses recommended.

Q: 8. When using this with the FS7M2 (with it's locking ring) and a larger Cine lens like the Sony CineAlta primes, do you still need lens/adapter support?

A: On metal bodied cameras with integral PL mounts prime lenses weighing up to 4 lbs, such as each of the Sony Cine Alta lenses, are fine in low stress situations and have no need of particular support. In stress situations such as high speed car stunts or roller coasters, a lens support would be highly recommended. Not only there an issue of the lens mount being broken but there would be the more insidious issue of the back focus depth being altered and you getting soft images. Light weight cameras with an E mount or EF mounts are not designed for large heavy PL mount lenses, particularly zooms. In these cases, we would recommend lens support as healthy and cheap insurance.

Q: 9. Plan to purchase this MTF mount adaptor on my Sony PXW FS5 with the Canon HJ11ex4.7B lens, any advise of how's the quality ? and is there any other cheaper lens mount option in the market ?

A: MTF Services Ltd quality is a world standard and nothing is better made. The quality is commensurate to it's price and it will be the best long term solution for you. This adapter will allow most if not all of the zoom range of B4 2/3 lenses when used on a Sony FS5 in 2k (crop) mode. Note: you will lose 0.8 stop of light. The only other option, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter B4 to Sony E Mount, while much cheaper, does not have a lens to expand the image. Thus the B4 lenses only work at the telephoto end with the 2X doubler engaged. Even then, they have unusable wide angle images. This is all due to the fact the B4 lenses are designed for much smaller sensors than what the FS5 has.

Q: 10. Hi! What cable do I need to power the servo motor zoom an a lens with a v-lock battery? Could someone link please?

A: Most B4 lenses work with 12pin power connections and you could work with this cable. FotodioX 12-Pin Hirose to D-Tap Power Cable for ENG Lens Servo Functions https://bhpho.to/2Ixd7qs

The Novaflex adapter has let me use my wonderful really old Pentax M42 50mm macro lens again, on my Panasonic GF1 and GH2. With the crop factor of 2, the lens becomes a 100 mm in 35mm terms, a very convenient focal length for macro work. The build quality on the adapter is excellent.

I had a similar experience as the first reviewer. I did not find that the Voightlander was loose, but did notice that there was not a distinct click when the adapter was mounted on the camera. I did not realize that I would need to use a piece of plastic to hold the aperture of the lens open with the Voightlander, while the Novaflex has a ring on the outside that lets you adjust the aperture manually. I was afraid that the little snippit of credit card wedged in the aperture control of the lens might some day work loose and scratch the sensor on my G1, so I decided to go with the Novaflex. The machining on the inside doesn't look perfect, but the adapter fits snugly and functions perfectly.
