Does what it's spose to, really long cables and such but works well.

Picked one of these up to attach my Pocket 3 to the side of my camera cage. It took a minute to tighten the screw just right and position the mount but it works. Since the field of view of the Pocket is pretty wide you can’t use it at every angle (because it will show your adjacent camera lens). It is possible that not all cages would work as you have to screw the screw from inside the cage outward toward this mount. Mine worked with my Lumix G9 and smallrig cage (and it looks like it could work similarly with my Lumix S5 smallrig cage).

I wanted this port to add more external drives to my laptop. It works great. I am just storing and backing up photos to several drives. It works great. I don't monitor speed of backup because speed is not important to me. I just know it is quick and it works.

Adds versatility to the 12 step controller, enabling you to trigger a wide variety of sources. Not absolutely necessary to the 12 Step, but well worth the little bit of extra money for the extra capabilities it enables.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I was able to connect a 4k webcam, audio interface, USB-C monitor (using DisplayLink), and an external SSD. They all worked flawlessly.

The ports are also nicely spaced out, so your USB-C connector can be extra thick and still not block the one beside it. There's also a blue light (in the middle of the device, above the logo) that is constantly on when the hub is plugged in, even if nothing is attached to said hub.

The device itself is thin and very lightweight. I also appreciate that it is metal.

Note that there are a couple things that do not work. You can't charge your main device with this, so plugging in a USB-C cable attached to a power adapter doesn't do anything. It also does not carry over DisplayPort, so USB-C monitors will need to be connected another way.

Overall, I have definitely needed something like this. With everything going USB-C, it's very surprising to search USB-C hub on sites and still get those x-in-1 hubs with two or three USB-A ports, but only one or two USB-C ports.

Now I can break out more ports to run my HD, card reader, etc. Nice to have the speed of USB-C.

These guys are hard to find. Most USB-C hubs are decorated with USB-A hubs, taking up ports. I've used it now with 3 devices. As long as you don't want power over a port, it works well.

There are a lot of USB-C hubs on the market. Almost all of them give your USB-C computer USB-A ports, which a lot of things, like flash drives and mouse dongles, need. This is the only USB-C hub I’ve seen that gives you more USB-C ports. I bought one of them two years ago and it was great, but…only four ports isn’t going to do you much good anymore, so I bought a second one. Works great on my i9 MacBook Pro. I thought to myself, what happens if you plug a USB-A hub into this hub? Well…that works too. Just get this. You need it and you’ll like it.
