The kit includes two 16" pneumatic wheels with dual bearings, two axles, 1/4" mounting screws, and T-threaded plates. The axles can be bolted or screwed to any surface or mounted to T-Slot profiles. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what the it can to mixpree 10 ii?

A: The PortaBrace Sound Devices 664 Audio Mixer Combination Case would not be recommended for the Sound Devices MixPre-10 ii; the PortaBrace Silent Audio Organizer Bag for Sound Devices MixPre-10T Recorder (BH #POAOMIXPRE10) would be recommended instead.

Q: 2. What is the maximum weight it can support at full horizontal extension?

A: Film Devces does not provide a weight capacity on their travel boompole kit as this will securely hold the weight of just about any microphone boom pole that you can fit onto it.

Q: 3. Does this come with a carry case?

A: I'm sorry, but this Film Devices Microphone Travel Boompole Kit (Carbon Fiber) does not include a carry case. For the pole, I would recommend using this case, which is available via special order: https://bhpho.to/3JL5kFd

Q: 4. Is the L mount battery sled included with the MixPre-6 II? or would I need to buy it separately?

A: Only the 4 AA is included. This is the recommended optional L-battery sled: Sound Devices MX-LMount Battery Sled for MixPre-3, MixPre-6 & MixPre-10T B&H # SOMXLMOUNT: https://bhpho.to/36kjkOB

Q: 5. Do I need to add a mixer to this? If I do add a mixer, what do I gain?

A: No, a separate mixer is not required for use with the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II 6-Channel / 8-Track Multitrack 32-Bit Field Recorder. Whether you might want to use a separate mixer depends on the requirements for a specific application. For example, you could use a separate mixer if you need additional input channels to connect more than four microphones, instruments, or line level audio sources to record simultaneously.

Q: 6. How many minutes work after charging?

A: I use it for my Sound Devices 633 along with another off brand battery as back ups when my np1 that powers everything goes down and I don't have time to change to a fresh. Both xl series batts last about 4-5 hours just powering the 633 and a boom for phantom power, I don't have them set up to power the receivers or hops. Again that's what I use them for, your mileage may vary if you are using for another purpose.

Q: 7. What L Batteries are compatible? Some are ripped apart by the oversized pins.

A: I didn't want to mess around and went with the Sony NP-F970 battery (even though it is not the cheapest option) with this adapter. It has worked flawlessly without any issues. Two years on the road and we haven't had any issues with power using that battery.

Q: 8. Is the bottom of the pole threaded to accept a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screw?

A: There are no thread connections specified for the bottom of the Film Devices Microphone Travel Boompole Kit (Carbon Fiber). The mounting thread on the top of the pole is 1/4"-20 and can be expanded to 3/8"-16 with the included thread adapter.

Q: 9. will this fit the Tascam DR-70D?

A: Yes, the ORCA OR-270 Sound Bag will accommodate the size of the Tascam DR-70D 6-Input / 4-Track Multi-Track Field Recorder.

Q: 10. Will this run a Sony camera? Some non-Sony batteries do not.

A: If the Sony camera takes NP-F batteries, the Sound Devices XL-B3 Lithium Ion Battery should be compatible, as it is an NP-F-type battery.
