The integrated SM58 dynamic capsule features a cardioid polar pattern that minimizes background noise and feedback. Its brightened midrange and bass roll-off deliver that sought-after warm and clear vocal reproduction. The built-in spherical wind and pop filter reduces plosives for clean and intelligible speech.

The durable BLX2 handheld transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design and is comfortable to hold. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off button, adjustable gain control, and a black identification cap. The WA621 Color ID Caps kit containing assorted colored caps is available as an optional accessory.

The BLX4 receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity feature to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. An LED display shows group and channel settings, while two LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a BLX1 bodypack transmitter compatible with a variety of lavalier, instrument, and headset microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The PGA31 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with the Sony PXW-FS5M2 ?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with newer Canon hot shoe for mounting receiver directly to camera for digital audio transfer?

A: No, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is not compatible for digital connection to a Canon camera. It will only work in that manner with certain Sony cameras equipped with Sony's Multi Interface shoe. The URX-P40 receiver will connect to the microphone input on the Canon camera using a cable.

Q: 3. I know these have a 3.5 mm jack but has anyone had any experience with using these for making wireless PA systems with speakers?

A: The Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System with SE425-CL Earphones would not be recommended for use with speakers, as the beltpack's output impedance is intended for connection to headphones, not a standard line input. A system like B&H # ALSTLTHMK2X would be recommended instead.

Q: 4. After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and selecting 24-bit two channel mode in camera I recorded several clips. However, after importing the clips into FCPX on my 2019 MacBook Pro, I realized that none of the clips had audio. Even in Sony’s own Catalyst Browse software, no audio can be played back, but in this instance white noise is all that is heard. Audio plays back fine in camera; Switch to 16-bit and audio can play back as normal in all software. So it seems 24-bit audio is not supported. Are there plans to address this? Btw... Sony makes no mention of 24-bit audio in the A7S III manual, even though the option appears in the cameras menu.

A: Based on the manual, this camera has the ability to record in 24 bit only if using accessories that support 24 bit audio through the Multi-Interface shoe. If connecting the receiver of this system to the camera via the 3.5mm jack, then the camera can only record in 16 bit audio. Please note that while there is an available MI Shoe adapter for the URX-P40 receiver in this wireless system, the A7SIII is not specified as supporting it for use.

Q: 5. Will this fit the Sony HXR-NX5U?

A: The Sony HXR-NX5U is a camera. If you are looking to put a windscreen on the shotgun mic that is on the camera, this windscreen would not fit. There is not a windscreen made specifically to fit over the built-in stereo mic on the camera.

Q: 6. is there something on the device that would make it introduce hiss into the transmission? I recently bought one. Tested it with 2 identical senheiser boom mics requiring 48v phantom. One sounds great, the other has a major hiss. Tried it on several other mics (57s/58s) and nothing. The "bad" mic works 100% when wired.

A: 1. Make sure to scan for the best frequencies to use before every session. 2. Try lowering the gain

Q: 7. If I bought 2 of these, could I run all 4 mics simultaneously without frequency interference?

A: Yes, you can run up to 10 transmitters at the same time with these systems.

Q: 8. Is there a way to use this on an a7siii with the xlr-k3m adapter?

A: The receiver in this Sony wireless system will connect to the Sony XLR-K3M audio adapter, using the included 3.5mm to XLR-male output cable. This would be an excellent wireless audio solution for the Sony a7SIII camera.

Q: 9. Does the UC90 need a FCC license to operate in the US?

A: No, you do not need a license to operate the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC90: 941 to 960 MHz) within the US.

Q: 10. Is there a limitation on where in the country I can use this wireless set?

A: If referring to use within the United States, the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC25: 536 to 608 MHz) is able to be used throughout. The only limitations may come when attempting to use within privately owned locations, such as a sports venue with specific wireless permissions and coordination.
