Unlike the Manfrotto Nano Clamp it's nicely padded where it clamps onto your handlebar. One word of caution, if this is for a bicycle and if you're at all concerned about the weight of your bike then this is NOT the mount for you. It is surprisingly heavy, but seems very durable and well-made.

A: Yes, BUT I found it to fit a little snug if you're using the frame to mount your gopro. When I used the frame, it squeezed it a little too much to the point that the button pass-throughs did not function properly. Would be the same with either the gopro 3/3+, most likely. But if you're using one of the plastic enclosure housings, should be fine for any gopro.
