With the Celestron StarSense Explorer 125mm f/10 Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope, exploring the wonders of the universe is as simple as 1-2-3:

     1. Dock your smartphone

     2. Launch the StarSense Explorer smartphone app

     3. Observe the moon, planets, stars, and more

This innovative integration of smartphone and telescope offers beginner astronomers a fast and (more importantly) easy way to discover what's up in the night sky and where to view it. The StarSense Explorer app uses your phone's camera to find objects of interest and guides you to move the telescope. When the object is ready to view, the bull's-eye turns green.

Optically, the 125mm primary mirror gathers copious amounts of light to provide detailed views of the lunar surface and planetary features. It has the ability to reach beyond our solar system and view bright deep-sky objects. Supporting the telescope and StarSense holder is a basic manual yoke mount with a simple control handle that lets you move the telescope quickly and easily according to the app's direction to find your object of interest. It allows you to precisely track the object when you want to view it for extended periods. A two-section aluminum tripod provides a wide adjustable height to accommodate a variety of viewing positions and users. This makes the telescope easy to transport when you have to carry it to remote viewing locations.

A: Yes, that is more of a function of the camera you choose, and the distance to the object, light conditions ETC. It depends on what you are shooting as well, Astrophotogaphy - good, Sports photography totally not appropriate.

          Q: 3. Can I use a 7mm eyepiece with it?

A: Yes as long as it is 1.25".

A: You are able to mount a DSLR camera onto the Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm f/4 Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope two ways. One way is to remove the eyepiece, and replace it with a T mount, and the appropriate dedicated camera T mount adapter. To see what T mount adapter you need, it will depend on the actual DSLR you want to mount. For example, here is one for Canon DSLRs with the Canon EF mount: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/261256-REG/Celestron_93419_T_Mount_SLR_Camera_Adapter.html and here is a T mount: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202135-REG/Celestron_93625_SLR_35mm_OR_Digital.html The other way to mount a DSLR camera onto the Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm f/4 Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope, is by using the T mount adapter, and the Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter connected to each other, and that way you can create photographs taking advantage of the magnification of the eyepiece, (When you replace the eyepiece you loose all the magnification of the eyepiece) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1142995-REG/novagrade_ua_00t1_01_t_mount_adapter.html

Q: 8. Can this telescope be used for Astro photography?
